Nope. And a very good chance the Big Ten goes winless. Best part? Iowa still gets their $17M or whatever it is. That's right, we're getting $4.5M per win this year.

I'd guess not a damn one...Northwestern might have the best change to actually win, but I'd be surprised if any are favorites.

Bryan Fischer @BryanDFischer
Crazy to think that the AVERAGE Baylor game features over 1,000 yards of offense. Bears average 578 yds, give up 513

Well you played Cincinatti a couple of years ago so not sure this is all that much differant.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing how Louisville stacks up against that defense.
Then there is the matchup of probably the top two QBs for 2014 in Bridgewater and Driskel.

I just don't understand how you can be THAT bad at defense. I thought Temple was terrible.
I was thinking they maybe playing really good offenses, but noway can every team you play avg 513 yards on you.
I"m sure at some point, a coach that has a terrible team, is going to do something drastic like start putting the best athletes on defense. and teaching them how to tackle and just ball hawk.

I don't think so. Look at all the teams that actually win. All of them play good defense.
On this point I actually agree with SEC homers.

But for how much longer? Originally, the spread offense was a means for the less-talented schools to keep up with the more talented ones by forcing them to play to your (originally) unusual style. Whereas they could punch you in the mouth with their tough front 7, you've now forced their nickel and dime corners onto the field to cover your guys running quick slants and screens.
Outside of a pocket of schools in the SEC, and few other oddballs like Notre Dame and Stanford, a good portion of the nation is running some form of attacking offense while just trying to bend-but-not-break on defense enough to keep up.
You are right in that the teams doing most of the winning right now are still playing good defense. But look at what Texas A&M did to Alabama. If you get a talented enough team running a high tempo offense, they can knock off the best defenses in college.

Teams like Baylor and West Virginia should just onside kick every time. 80-yards or 50 yards, the other team is still going to score. At least with the onside kick, you'll get consecutive possessions every now and then.

The real story of that game was that Alabama turned the ball over 3 times and A&M didn't turn it over once. Manziel had a wonderful game, but he only threw for 253 yards.
The spread is a fad, just like every offense. It has certainly sped the game up a bit, but I don't think it has fundamentally changed much of anything. If you look at the BCS schools this year, only Oregon is a high-tempo offense.
The game is still won on fundamentals and ball control.

The B1G actually are underdogs in every game. While the SEC are favorites in all of their games..
I don't even know Purdue was bowl-eligible. Yet, they still fire their coach.

They lost to Minnesota. It's pretty much a rule that if you lose to us, you have to fire your coach. Unless you're Kirk Ferentz and you have a 20 million dollar buyout.

$21 million, thank you. And signed through 2020 to boot!
At least we finally beat Minnesota this year... :/

Even if you didn't wanna be a complete asshole to your defense, at least try it 2-3 times a game. I don't understand it either.

Not saying Louisville will win, but they can definitely make it a game. We have arguably a top 3 qb in football and a great young receiving core. The loss of perry hurt. I think florida will win bc of experience, but I wouldn't automatically assume a Florida blowout.
