This is how I will choose to remember him. Not as a deeply troubled murderer who orphaned a child and forced the rest of his team to witness an unspeakable tragedy. But as a really bad linebacker that vidae wanted replaced by Rolando McClain.
From Jay Glazer via Raider Rapid Reports on Twitter
Quote:
@CBSRaiders: On Fox NFL Sunday, Jay Glazier reported that LB Rolando McClain, who was suspended last week for two games, was fined $15,000 two weeks ago.
Quote:
@CBSRaiders: Glazier: "Players there, they're telling me this has been an ongoing problem with Rolando McClain. ..."
Quote:
@CBSRaiders: Glazier cont.: "The tipping point was last week.Somebody asked him, 'Do you even care?' He said, 'I've got 4 million reasons not to care.'"
I thought he was supposed to have a good head on his shoulders and a great leadership presence when he was coming out of Alabama. Sounds more and more like a diva with work ethic issues.
This is the first time McClain's work ethic has been questioned in Oakland. But this makes it seem less likely for him to turn his career around.
I wouldn't say his career is over. If Ernie Sims can still start in the NFL, I think McClain will catch on somewhere.
Ernie Sims isn't an entitled head case though. He's just a lousy player. And lousy players stick around all the time as long as they aren't head cases.
The Chiefs have announced that a trust fund has been established for Zoey Michelle Belcher, the three-month-old orphan of linebacker Jovan Belcher and Kasandra Perkins.

Plus Ernie Sims is only starting after 2 ILBs on the same team went to IR and a third was out injured for at least 2 weeks. His door wasn't exactly rocking during the offseason or even until the injury bug hit the ILBs in Dallas.

I'd actually recommend looking into Braylon Edwards. He hasn't been healthy the past two seasons, but at this point I'm sure someone could sign him for a cheap one-year contract this offseason and take a chance on a potential deep threat.

Braylon wasn't getting any separation in Seattle, and when he was open, he was dropping the ball. He's done. You can see it when he plays. His heart is not into it and it shows bigtime.
Dwayne Bowe (ribs) has been ruled out for Week 15 against the Raiders.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported late Sunday that the Chiefs feared Bowe suffered two broken ribs in Sunday's loss to Cleveland. If that's indeed the case, the impending free agent Bowe has likely played his last snap in a Kansas City uniform.

15/4 extension for Kraig Urbik. He's usually pretty good, don't think a lot of people expected that after getting cut by Pittsburgh. Interested to see how they go about Levitre, now.
wonder if the Seahawks would make a push for Mike Wallace? Thinking about team needs, the biggest thing I can think of right now is a genuine deep threat, and Wallace is still only 26. They've had quite a bit of free agent success in the past couple years. I'd just be afraid they'd overpay him, because while we need a guy like him, I'd expect him to put up something like 40 catches for 800 yards and 8 TDs in our offense. It'd make us a hell of a lot more explosive and more dangerous, but I'm not sure our FO would want to pay no. 1 wideout money to a player who's being signed to fill a specific role. I expect him to want a fat contract, and I'd expect there are teams somewhere willing to pay it. I think Carolina would be an intriguing destination for him, too.
Per Jay Glazer: I'm reporting the Saints and Sean Payton have "agreed in principle" to a new contract extension to remain coach of the Saints for 5 more years http://t.co/MZ9WuXgX

Screw Peyton he should be fire/let go. Not far that he gets to come back to the team.
Oh shut up. Then I guess Deacon Jones shouldn't be allowed in the HOF then right? He openly said he tried to hurt every QB he ever faced. Payton did nothing illegal, just allowed an unethical act to continue.
