The Barry Sanders episode was fantastic. I pretty much think all of these episodes are good, but man, this was something special. He seemed like such a humble and nice guy.

Awesome episode. Was a nice blast to the past, his first 10 years were amazing and what makes his legacy so special is he retired on top. I also don't think there was any 1 reason in particuliar that he retired, I think it was a mix of not wanting the media attention that came with breaking the rushing record, the constant losing, team not making any moves at all towards being competitive, etc.
From the way he retired, and the type of person he was I think it's obvious he wanted no part in that mass media attention around him for breaking the rushing record. He'll probably always be remembered for the guy who would have put a huge distance on top of the title though.

About to watch it. Should be interesting. I wonder if it will be better than the McNair episode, which was my favorite thus far.
EDIT: Done. Best episode so far. Interesting relationship he had with his father.

I'm not going to act like I really knew for sure because his last year in the league I was only 13 years old, but was he a truly elite back ever in his career? I mean I know he was really well rounded, but he only had over 1000 yards three times in his 16 year career and one of those was 1,014 yards. I know obviously stats don't tell the whole story, but I honestly never remembered him being a dominant force at RB.
More so just a really good, well rounded back who was extremely durable. Not usually what I'd describe a Hall of Fame RB as, but again it's not like I saw him play a ton.
