I posted my ranking of the bowls in terms of how excited I am to watch them in another thread, so I won't here. But outside of the BCS Bowls, here are my favorites:

Chick-fil-A Bowl: LSU has a great defense, especially on the line. And Tajh Boyd is one of my favorite players to watch. Some may think his stats are inflated because the ACC sucks but I think he would be successful anywhere. We'll see. This should be a good contrast of style.

Holiday Bowl: I'm not a fan of defense, so this is my type of game. I haven't checked the over/under on this game, but I'm taking the over.

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: Crappy name but should be a good game. Chuckie Keeton is fun to watch and Toledo is always fun.

Personally, I'll be at the Beef O'Brady's Bowl. So stupid, weather in St. Petersburgh in December is beautiful and this game is in a dome. Bump that. If you''re watching, look for me!

It has to do with relative graduation rates with the rest of the school, so maybe normal Bama students are just dumb?

Alabama defensive end Quinton Dial will not be suspended by the SEC for his disputed hit on Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray in the conference title game on Dec. 1.

The SEC ruled Friday that the matter would be handled internally by the two schools.

I'm shocked. Not. Known all along that the SEC wasn't going to punish a player headed to the National Championship. Now if it was Georgia's player at fault SEC might of come down with a suspension since they are not headed to the NCG.

As far as academics go have you heard the interviews after any 'Bama game? I wouldn't be shocked if some of them couldn't read and write let alone score highly on a real exam.

If Georgia had won do you think the player that poked an Alabama player in the eye would have gotten suspended? Doubtful. Hating won't get you anywhere so move along.

Translation: If a Georgia player hit McCarron on a cheap shot away from the play he would be suspended for their bowl game.

There's a difference between cheering for your friend's school and being a blatant homer defending their "honor". Cheering is not the same as an irrational angst for those who disagree with you. The statement about the SEC punishing players is widespread and hardly tin-foil hat worthy. Use Google.

The one about reading and writing is an obvious jab but it applies to most universities but it's just a tad more obvious when you are a spotlighted team.

You just completely agreed with his main point. No player was getting suspended before the National Championship.

And saying the players on Bama sound like they can't read or write isn't hate, it's pretty obvious they sound dumb. Except in Alabama where that is known as average.
