huh, must be different from a PhD in Science, cause I was on track to be getting mine last summer before I quit Biology. Anyways.

Well that is the key, not quitting. Most people give up or quit before attaining their phD. And most people typically go into their field for a few years before getting their phD.
And yes, a phD in Science is quite different from a phD in philosophy (depending on the specialization).

Well I've been working in a lab since I was 18, with a two few month stretches when I was 14 and 17, so I was already in the field I was studying before I found film.

This is why it's really not cool to brag about degrees that you're going to earn in the future.

Haha, I'm not bragging. Plus everyone was calling me uncool (which is probably true) and saying SP would turn into me so I thought it would be humorous to add that.
If I don't get it for some reason, I wouldn't be that upset. It's my current plan but I'm sure there are any number of things that could get in the way of it.

This gem was almost lost in the "Let's see if SP can blow up his house" excitement.
MetSox is clearly a man who knows how to make a grilled cheese sandwich.

My method:
Lean back in chair
Yell "MOM I WANT A ******* GRILLED CHEESE"
Wait for grilled cheese.
Never get it.
Get up and make it.

Science....err engineering nerds love the SI system. I hate dealing with Enligsh units, so stupid. BTU is the only one I don't mind.

As an engineering student, I convert everything to Si before starting a problem. English units sick. I agree with everything in that graphic except for the date. Write it like you say it. I never say it's the 8th of December, it's December 8th, damn it

I know why US uses Fahrenheit scale. The point above zero at which water freezes (32 in Fahrenheit) yields less negative numbers when recording temps below freezing. I know this because I was in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. At one point in the Army's history, the Signal Corps was responsible for all military meteorology reporting (learned this when I was a Private at Ft. Gordon, GA). BTW, Fahrenheit was German.
Edit: The military also uses dmy method to record the date.

How is that a reason to use it rather than absolute pure common sense outcome of using it? If you set the freezing point at above zero then obviously that system will have less negative numbers when recording freezing temperatures than a system where it must be negative to be freezing. Does the Signal Corps have some inherent fear of negative numbers? Legitimate question as that reason is just a description of a side effect of using Fahrenheit rather than Celsius rather than a reason to use it from how I read it.
PS... Todd's toasted cheese tip was pure evil, of this I approve.

Both F and C are wrong. Peeps should be using K.
It's like the Republican v. Democrat debate in the US. The answer is neither because there are other, better options.
Kelvin is the best. No doubt.
