I love RGIII too, but for the most part their rookie seasons are practically over.
Both players players need to make substantial improvements to become upper tier NFL QBs going forward.

Winning the OROTY is cool for fans, but a lot of bums have won that award.
Not saying this guy is a bum, but you don't ever hear someone make an argument in Sam Bradford's favor that at least he was rookie of the year, because AFTER a player's rookie season is over it doesn't really matter anymore.

Until fans can say Luck/RGIII is better than Brady, better than Manning, better than Rodgers, better than Brees, or wins their division and a Lombardi, neither player has arrived yet.

But I still wouldn't trade Robert for any QB in the league. Except maybe Rodgers. If the price was reasonable.

This is a perfect analogy. It's really no more complicated than this. Pick the guy you like.

I think Luck is still riding his 'best prospect ever' status. If Wilson had lucks numbers he'd be called wildly inconsistent, needs to improve drastically in the turnover department, good season for a 3rd round pick, etc.

If the stats were reversed and situations, Luck would still be the popular choice. Everyone thinks that luck is superior to RG3 and think he's more developed as a QB but he's not Imho. RG3 is everything Luck is and superior in a lot of ways. And I don't see one area Luck is better.

If Luck has nearly an identical season next year, there will be loud voices calling into question his slow development as an NFL QB.

But yeah, the guy who's been called the greatest QB prospect ever is going to get the benefit of the doubt from fans even when they don't know they're doing it.

Bull. He even said he threw that ball behind Garcon because that's the only place he could Put it and he trusted his guy to make a play. The Moss Throw was the only one i can recall that was ill advised.

I guarantee u Lucks recievers have bailed him out a crap load more than RG3's have. And the drops the skins make are rediculous. The ratio of passes thrown compared to the number of drops is so far skewed to RG3's favor that it's not even funny. they literally lost games for us with all their drops. I'm fully convinced that half the people on this board are brainwashed. Rg3 is better than him and Everything you are bringing up you could find 10x more mistakes Luck makes.

I haven't watched every single throw Griffin has made, however I have watched the Saints game, the Bucs game, the Cowboys game and the second Giants game.

And you want to bring up bad throws? RG3 has had plenty of them, but somehow, his absolutely ****** WRs have bailed him out. How about the long TD against the Saints. He threw, guess what? A one read slant, which he threw way too high only for a great catch and run by Garcon (I believe). Likewise, against the Cowboys he hit Garcon again, only this time the ball was WAY behind him, only for that ****** WR to make another great catch and run for a TD.

Oh, and by the way, I also do believe that Garcon was statistically the Colts best WR last year, even with Wayne still playing - STATZZZZZZ

And don't take this as me for some reason hating RG3. I don't have a horse in this race, and as a Pats fan surely I would be more inclined to criticise Luck???

Except he hasn't.

Luck is the Colts - they still don't have a defense and have no stable running game. Seattle is based around a strong running game and very good defense. If you put Wilson in a Colts uniform they aren't 8-4. The team around Russell Wilson is much better than the team around Andrew Luck.

Believe what you want.

If Jackson is still the Seahawks quarterback they aren't 7-5. Wilson may have a better team around him, but that doesn't mean he hasn't played as well as a rookie because he's been asked to do less. He's making plays when they need to be made and that's important. Jackson couldn't do that for them last year. The Colts also play in the AFC and the AFC South.

I think its kinda funny when evoryone gives Luck a pass for his easy schedule because "a win is a win." And then in the same breath give him complete credit for turning around an bad team. It s.o.s. makes no difference, then neither should the strength of last years team.

Well that's just a bunch of crap right there. If the ball hits Garcon in stride then he still scores. As it is, the ball was nearly picked by #54 and if Garcon doesn't make a great catch it lands in Brandon Carrs hands.

One simple thing to look at. One of these guys is leading the league in interceptions.

How about half of RGIII's passing TDs coming in the last three games?

Luck today, fortunate to be playing against Jake Locker.

Today, Luck: 16/34 196 yards, 5.8 yards per throw, 1 TD 2 Int, 50.6 passer rating.
Those aren't OROY numbers, sorry.

The first INT should have been a sack. The refs completely blew that one, and the second INT was a hail mary at the end of the first half. So those two INTs are very misleading.

He also had a WR drop an extremely easy TD catch.

RG3's heart and intangibles are unmatched, he came back without even being able to run and hit a big completion to get down the 20.

Always excuses someone, from the Luck camp.... I guess he's the only one who has about a 1-1 TD-Int ratio who can blame all of em on the refs & receivers.

His heart, intangibles and aura are so unparalleled that he incredibly imposed his will onto Kirk Cousins to throw his trademark TD and run in for a two-point conversion. Talk about making one's teammates better...

I haven't made any excuses for Luck before today. It's just obvious that with this game you looked at a stat line and started mouthing off without knowing what the hell you're talking about.

You can't bring up bare numbers like you did, then have them explained (by a Titans fan nonetheless) and then just brush that off. If you want to box score scout that's fine, but when people who watched the game (and don't have a bias towards the guy) tell you that the numbers don't tell the whole story then how can you still sit there all bullish and say "nope you're wrong, you may have witnessed the plays but I seen the statzzzzzz"

This has gotten beyond the point of who the OROTY is, and frankly it doesn't make a difference to their careers.

ROY performances

1- Griffin
2- Wilson
3- Luck

Going on how they have played overall, both in terms of passing, running, and clutchness, team wins.
Wilson is the most unheralded rookie I've seen in years.
Dude wins, and puts up rock solid numbers. What's the problem? Nobody watches Seattle games?

I keep saying that Peyton threw 100 INTs his first 5 seasons in the league.
Luck is going to get those turnovers straightened out.

Stop trying to turn every thread into a Packers thread.
What is this, 2010 for you again?
