and regards the crap qb to aa argument --> AJ McCarron

Im not sure about you but im just not ready to give a guy the heisman for playing a really good first half against alabama and feasting on soft teams
Put it this way, I think Manziel was the most deserving candidate.
BTW what was ND's schedule besides a list of soft teams??

the preseason #1 ranked schedule
10 bowl eligible teams
2 conference champs
5 teams that have been ranked in the top 10

not that that has anything to do with the discussion as im not saying that manti should win, im just saying that manziel is a really flawed candidate and that people hating on manti makes them fail to address that

I'm not going to say that Johnny was a flawless winner, but Teo just isn't that great of a player. Most of the Teo argument has too much to do with stuff away from the field.

I wish that Hogan was the qb instead on Nunez for that Stanford/ND game. Nunez limited Stanford so much.

why do people keep bringing up ND, im not defending manti as a heisman candidate im saying manziel is a sucky one. If you ask me if manziel or tavon austin (just to name a name) deserves it more id easily pick the latter, same goes for franklin, clowney, lee, elam and warmack if were going for most outstanding player

Manziel only lost to 2 top level teams and he beat the (still) best team in the nation while setting new SEC offensive records. I don't think Johnny stands even with the Newtons/Luck/RG3/Ingrams/Gerharts of the past few years, but he is the best of what we have this year.

I could see Mathews staying, sliding over to LT and working his way to a top 5-10 pick

Johnny can probably bulk up a little by the time the 2014 draft comes around. He really isn't a whole lot smaller than Robert Griffin.

Right now guys that can run around seem to be more in vogue but that could end quickly if injuries become a factor with some of these guys.

I'm guessing he bulks up a little. Hopefully it's enough.

There's no reason he shouldn't be a top 10 pick this year. He's every bit as good as Joeckel and is better than the 2nd best OT by a fairly significant amount. Only thing that will hold him back as a prospect is being 6'4 but that won't change next year.
