Well, speculation is that they would trade him to get Dickey. One thing is for sure, he or trumbo will be moved for a SP now

Which one would an Angels fan rather see leave?

Bourjos for Dickey would be an awful trade and they have no farm. I don't see a good fit with the Angels.

See, I still don't trust Dickey to do what he did last year again. He has been awful his whole career and came out of no where to be phenomenal. I don't trust him yet.

Wrong. His previous years with the Mets before this year were very good also. Not THAT good but he's been trending up for awhile.

Crawford likely ends up being the X Factor...if he can show any ability that he had before the Boston signing I would be happy.

If the Halos were OK giving a player $24-$25 million a year for 5 years, it's kind of weird that they didn't just sign Greinke. He only signed for 1 more year than Hamilton did

Lengthy of contract may be a factor.

Hard to see it being that. Greinke only got 1 more year than Hamilton, but Greinke is 2 years younger than Hamilton so the extra year makes sense
I mean, they did need a lefty power bat on this team. Morales is the only guy they have there and he's a FA after the season(which looks like he'll be gone after this year now)
They still need to get a starter

Players in the Rangers clubhouse must be frustrated. As a fan I'm frustrated. There's no plan to win now. The GM is so focused on cost and hoarding their prospects, now they are forced into rebuilding mode instead of win now. ****! ****! ****!

Rangers weren't going anything over 4 years. LA gave 5 and BOOM. Done deal.

If the Angels want to get serious about getting Dickey from the Mets, they'll need to package either Trumbo or Kendrick with Bourjos. The Mets have been asking for a lot all off-season and I don't see that stopping now.

No plan? You've been to 2 out of the last 3 WS. If you want no plan check out the Mets.

lol.. Profar being a hostage may topple Katrian and Sandy for costliest damage.
Signing Swisher at 1B and dealing Mike Olt to whoever for OF power may be my suggestion.

Not that it's that big of a move... but it's an upgrade over Lackey and probably Morales.
I'd rather keep Morales in the bullpen and give him spot starts here and there.
Not sure how I feel about doing the bullpen to starter experiment again.

If I was Texas, I would have just traded Profar back when they had the chance to get Upton
Yeah, Profar has higher upside than Andrus, but at least with Andrus the Rangers already know what they have(which is a pretty damn good SS already). They had just locked Kinsler up to an extension, so they really had nowhere to play Profar. They need an OFer. Trading a high upside/all potential at this point SS for Justin Upton would have been great. He's still young himself, and has high upside as well(not to mention he has shown his potential in the big leagues a few years)
They'd still be fine at MIF with Andrus/Kinsler and would now have a young OFer who has 30/20 potential
