I'm sure they'll find another token black guy to make sure all the recruits get their hookers and coke.

I seem to be one of the few that likes that selection. See what the kid can bring to the table.

There are pros and cons to both of their top candidates. Klingsbury is a Texas Tech alum. He's coached two elite college quarterbacks in Case Keenum and Johnny Manziel, and the Heisman winner credits Klingsbury for his development. His offenses have been very good from the start. At the same time, he's really young, so there are certainly questions of how much authority and respect he can exert not only over his players, but the older coaches he'll need to bring in.
Chad Morris, like Klingsbury, has coached good offenses from the moment he stepped onto the field, lighting up the ACC the past two years. He's got great Texas high school connections. At the same time, it's the ACC, and his team is easily among the top two most talented in that conference, but has also been completely shut down against SC(and perhaps LSU). He also has very little college experience.
Overall, either would have been decent hire. But ultimately, Kingsburgy main fault is simply youth, whereas both Morris' offensive and personal performance(quickly abandoning his working gameplan as soon as he was down only a field goal) against us needs explanation, and despite the fact that Kingsbury is much younger, he has much more experience in college. I would have went with Kingsbury. Plus he is one handsome dude;

KLIFF!! I remember when the Patriots drafted him. He's definitely been a hot candidate but I thought it'd be another couple years until he got a HC job.

Surprised to be honest. I mean he's had one year calling plays but he definitely was groomed well under the likes of Sumlin and Holgorsen. HUGE risk if he doesn't hit the ground running but also a big reward for Tech if it works out. Fan base will love him as long as he doesn't faceplant. Tommy was never given that type of unconditional love.

Seriously doubt it would happen based on money alone, but Manziel apparently wants Morris to come.

I think the fan base was smart enough to realize Tuberville was a fraud and hack and did not deserve any unconditional support. The way he left that program just illustrates that.

Most Tech fans I saw wanted him as soon as TT left. Only hire that would've made them happier would've been Sonny Dykes.

Reading between the lines, Tommy went to Tech solely because he want get back into coaching. He and his wife hated Lubbock and didn't hide the fact.

Assistant OL coach to head coach? That's quite a jump if they go that way.

He was the OC for Golden there. I really would like to see D'Onofrio get another year here because he's such a good talent evaluator and developer, and whoever replaces him is gonna run the same defense anyway. Dude had complete **** to work with this year.

Your wish is D'Onofrio's command:
@OwlScoop_com
BREAKING: Per a source, Miami defensive coordinator Mark D'Onofrio is withdrawing his name from consideration for the Temple coaching job.

Solid. We were probably gonna replace him with Al Groh anyway. Hopefully he can get the defense up to where it should be since he doesn't have to use d2 players and freshmen.

Mike Riley of OSU to interview for the Wisconsin job, would be a great hire...but he has turned down high profile jobs in the past.
Also Boise State DC Pete Kwiatkowski getting interest from USC for the same position.

DayDay turned down Auburn to stay at FSU.
Alabama DB Coach Jeremy Pruitt has been hired as the new DC at FSU. No idea how good of a DC he will be but he was the 247 Recruiter of the Year in 2012 and was Alabama's lead recruiter for multiple players FSU is recruiting, namely Laremy Tunsil and Matthew Thomas.
Arizona State RB Coach Larry Porter is the early favorite to replace Eddie Gran.
Current LB Coach Greg Hudson is not expected to be retained in that capacity and may be moved to the administrative side of the program. He was in a motorcycle accident in 2010 and developed some severe personal problems thereafter.
I could see FSU making a run at former USF coach Vernon Hargreaves Sr. as a DE or LB coach.

Larry Porter used to be the RB coach at LSU. He's a pretty solid RB coach and a fairly decent recruiter.

Barry Alvarez is leaning towards staying put as the Badgers HC. Don't think they'll find anyone better at this point.

Basically another Tennessee situation. Surprising to see, because at least for them they've had recent success. Perhaps no longer a problem that can pull enough talent to compete for national titles, but still easily one of the best programs in the Big Ten, with obviously yearly shots at the Rose Bowl.
