If he isn't part of the deal then it's even better for Toronto. If he is, it would be a decent blow but like I said, I wouldn't fault the Jays for it
in the end though I think you are right. It's hard to see them parting with a prospect of D'Arnaud's caliber for Dickey

So apparently D'Arnaud may indeed be getting moved but the deal will be bigger than just a one for one as in the Jays are asking for more than just Dickey for their top prospect and adding pieces. Possibly Ike Davis heading to the Jays. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out and if Ike Davis is involved I am hoping the Jays can ship Adam Lind to the Mets.

I'm not really sure why the Cardinals signed TY Wigginton.

He's still only 24, though I know the Tigers ruined his development. Maybe a change of scenery is the thing this kid needs.
He also is the type of pitcher the Pirates like.

No, he isn't. He's a really solid groundball pitcher who has a godawful infield defense behind him. Just because the Indians wish they had a pitcher like Porcello doesn't mean you have to be a dick about him, Woot.

I don't know, I hesitate trading for a guy with a lot of "potential" but really hasn't turned it into anything after four seasons at the major league level.
Like this character....

Highest BABIP against among all qualified starters in 2012. His stats deceive. He would succeed quite well in the NL and with a competent infield behind him.

He's a serviceable 4/5 pitcher. There.

I still like Porcello's stuff. Put him on a team with a much better infield defense and he'd be fine

Agreed. If D'Arnaud is included the Jays will be asking for more than Dickey. I am hoping more means Wheeler or Harvey (obviously with the Jays adding a little more on their end) but I think Ike Davis is more likely. Dickey would be a great addition but the Jays rotation is already looking really nice and D'Arnaud it can be argued is an upgrade of Arencibia right now and certainly a upgrade over the next many years.

Sandy's not giving up Wheeler or Harvey.
It's either Ike Davis or Niese. And then the Blue Jays give a little more.

Can report stronger now what I'd already heard was likely: Jays saying willing to offer d'arnaud and Gose in Dickey trade.

See I feel the same way about AA giving up D'Arnaud. Davis or Niese would be nice but neither are really needed. I guess we will see how things play out. I think if the Jays were willing to do D'Arnaud for Dickey straight up the deal would be done by now.

There are a lot of people saying the same thing on twitter. I would just keep in mind that many of these people 'reporting' are NY people who may be engaged in some slight wishful thinking. Again, I could be wrong but if Gose and D'Arnaud are being moved I have to think the Jays are getting a stud prospect in return or a couple important pieces.

Could be that other teams hearing that D'Arnaud is available are now talking with the Jays to make sure they get a pitch in.
