Jets are officially out of the playoffs. I say start McElroy from this point on and see what he can bring to them.

He was saying some crap in the pregame show about how the teams with the best QBs are the ones that cater everything around their QB. That they draft, sign players, and hire personnel based around what's best for the QB, and that Sanchez is playing poorly because the Jets focus too much on building around their defense. I think, really, he was just saying this to excuse how crappy he was with the Bucs and Ravens.

I've taken off the signature.....I've backed Sanchez for SO LONG, fighting many of you guys for going hard on the guy.....but when you DISGRACE YOURSELF like that, I'm ******* done backing Mark Sanchez. I've given him so many chances to do something....i've been so patient, I've been in borderline denial often....because I truly believed in Mark. However, what he did today was DESPICABLE. And the fact this jackass was SMIRKING in his press conference means he doesn't deserve to be ACTIVATED from here on out. This piece of **** needs to give his money to people who DESERVE a hard earned paycheck for doing their job unlike Mark.
I'm done with Mark Sanchez....he is pathetic and a sorry excuse of a quarterback. I apologize to the people who have tried to hammer this to me for a while now.....

He's the 11/12 Phil Rivers.....except Rivers actually shows toughness and some actual flashes here and there.
Since Mark will be starting next week for some god unknown reason, we get to see two of the biggest losers face off in Rivers and Sanchez next week. God bless the fans who attend that piece of ****.

Zach Brown was a freaking beast out there. Offensively they have no line so does anyone really expect miracles. Most critics of their situation never played football, obviously.

So does anyone think this hit by Goldson was a bad call? Hernandez was apparently a "defenseless receiver" on the play. I don't get why this was flagged. Seemed like a bad call to me.

The first view I would say no. The second view, that is exactly what the NFL has said they are trying to do away (he leads with the crown and makes contact helmet to helmet). Its stupid, but thats been the rule for a year now.

Yeah it sucks that it is the rule but by the letter of the law it should have been a flag. Although, anyone who watched the game should realise why defensive players love hits like these. Hernandez became afraid after that hit and was directly responsible for the Aldon Smith INT shortly after. He gator armed it because he was gonna get hit and the ball popped up in the air

If you lead with your head and hit a guy in the head while he is still in the air, you will be flagged. 100% of the time.

That is definitely a flag and it damn well should be. Don't lead with your head next time and maybe it won't be called.

But he didn't hit him in the head. He hit him around his collarbone under his chin.

Why don't we let Goldson give you a H2H hit at full speed without you seeing him coming and let you tell of whether you felt defenseless or not.
Hernandez was clearly affected by the hit, it was pretty dangerous.

The truth is now any time there is a big hit there is a flag. As a defender you either knock it down or if you are late try to strip the ball out. Laying a big hit to a receiver going down the middle will result in a flag 50% of the time regardless of if the technique is proper.
