Its a record set back in 2004. Gonzalez has 87 catches this year to Witten's 97.

Well, the last 2 games don't count towards the single season record he set in 2004....

Remember when Matt Stafford was a top 5 QB and Matt Ryan wasn't top 10?

Sort of reminds me of the call in the Bengals/Cowboys game. Not sure if it's against league rules but to me it's a clean football play.

I feel bad for Jets fans, but at the same time I enjoy watching Mark Sanchez pretend to be a quarterback.
Also, I don't recall anyone calling Matthew Stafford a top five quarterback. Top ten? Yes, but not top five.

There was a number of people arguing that Stafford was a top 5 QB with Brady, Rodgers, Brees and Peyton. I remember arguing Eli v Stafford throughout the summer.

Not to incite another huge discussion about it, but here ya go, for all those so offended by the fact that people were calling this guy a coward.
Quote:
Jovan Belcher sent a text message to his secret girlfriend saying he "would shoot" Kasandra Perkins, just months before he killed her and later took his own life, according to the police report obtained by the Kansas City Star.
The newspaper reported Tuesday that the late Kansas City Chiefs linebacker texted the other woman that he "would shoot" the 22-year-old mother of his 3-month-old daughter "if she didn't leave him alone." According to the police report, the secret girlfriend, also 22 years old, believed Belcher was joking.
.....
Police found 10 apparent gunshot wounds in the front of Perkins' body and five in her back. According to the report, the medical examiner found four bullets remaining in her body.

I'm pretty certain that Sanchez will be starting for that team come next season. We'll all hear about this amazing off season hes had, really putting the work in and taking the right steps. The Jets will come out and win a few games before he starts playing like he always does and they'll barely miss the playoffs and we'll have this discussion again.
Er that may just be what i'm hoping for anyway.

Works for me.
Not that it will help us, any. Sanchez' last 5 games against the Bills: 5-0, 11 TD, 3 INT, no QB rating under 90. We bad.

Whatever works for us to get Bridgewater I'm all for.
I can see the franchise drafting Glennon or Wilson this year though.

His cap number is over $17 million next year. Based on that, they can't cut him. And who would trade for him. Unless McElroy just lights it up the last two weeks, Sanchez will go into next season as the starter.

And Tebow still not going to get the start. Can't wait to hear ESPN explode.

This. Ryan is good, but he's not top 10.
EDIT: After looking at every QB, he probably is, but only because there are any good QB's out there. There's a significant gap between him and the rest.

I know statistics aren't the end all be all of quarterbacking (watching the game comes first and foremost) but Ryan is top 10 is just about every major statistical category for the second consecutive season. He also leads the league in 4th quarter comebacks since 2008. Now he just needs to win when it counts.

This entertains me more than NY continuing to start Sanchez. ESPN is clamoring and dying for Tebow to start so badly, and after last night's game on their network, they had to finally figure that it was finally going to happen
Of course, with this decision to go with McElroy over Tebow, we'll just hear about that ad nauseam this week

I think Sanchez will definitely be a Jet next year but I just can't see him starting. The organization won't be able to sell it to the fan base.
