How do I "keep contradicting myself" when I've only made one reply post to you? Yes I'm stating as a fact that it's down to a few schools. If you want to say Sonny knows all then go for it. He's just babbling just to babble.

He gets national attention because he does very well with a not-so-huge program.

Exactly.
Even more so than if he went to a big school and struggled some.
Good coaches field good teams and good teams get on TV.

Minnesota (probably)
That's 7 right there that I don't see jNW passing in conference play unless something big happens. After that, they are competing basically with Iowa and Purdue for an 8th spot if it's there.
Unless there are some surprises with one of the top 7 teams falling off and jNW surprising everyone, I really can't see them making it this year.
|
Looking back on this, I think the B1G might actually have a chance at getting 9 in. NW's hopes were shot down when Crawford got injured, but KenPom currently has 9 of their teams in the top 65. If the Big East can get 11 teams one year and 9 the next, it's possible.

Definitely possible, but I don't think it's probably and don't expect it to be a discussion by season's end. I'm really hoping Iowa can move up and sit at about the 6 spot in the conference.
And I'm also going to have to revise my previous comment after watching move games (and give credit to BF) but Minnesota should easily make the tournament. I thought they should be decent coming in, but as long as Mbakwe can resist his urge to do dumb **** or loses those photos he has of Tubby, the Gophers should be a top 4 Big Ten team this season.

Jabari to Duke, not BYU. I'm truly shocked.

No, but BYU is a national powerhouse! My Jabari Parker to Illinois State rumors must have spread to his inner circle and he changed his mind. My bad.

Parker to Duke was pretty easy. I wanna know where Aaron Gordon ends up. I hope not Kentucky.

Eh doubtful. I think it's really gonna be Washington or Arizona. UK may get Randle or Dakari Johnson though.

Dakari narrowed his schools down to UK, Syracuse, and Georgetown.

You didn't know he was going to Duke. You were merely guessing.

They'll lose to Canisius on Saturday. Book it!
Maybe not, but Canisius does look good. And they just won in Temple, which is cool, because **** Temple.

Make up your mind. They either will or they won't. I don't think they will lose. I think the Rebels will put together their first game of the season where they bring the intensity for the full 40 minutes.

Let me and my false confidence be!
I mean, do I expect a team that won 5 games last year to beat a ranked team on the other side of the country? Not so much, but they are coming off of a good win, have excellent guard play, rebound well, and look rejuvenated under a new coach. They dropped the second half against Cuse, but I'm curious to see how they do in this matchup.

I think we give KU a game tomorrow but in the end I think our front court just doesn't have the ammunition to stay in it late, unless we get smoking hot from outside.
Nervous/excited :/

Myck Kabongo has suspension reduced to a 23 game ban. He has missed 11 games so far.

Big deal. They play down to everybody. They only won because they're more talented.
