Pretty much how I feel with the Rams. I don't understand why most people think it's a weak receiver class.

I think people say this is a weak class because there are no truly Elite players.

I am not saying this draft is weak because like a lot of people have said the depth this year is crazy and you will be able to find good players even after the third, it's just that the top level guys are really good but there is no Elite guy.

I think Joeckel/Te'o/Jones/Werner/Star are top level guys but after that it drops a little.

Elite players? Why cant all the big uglys in this draft be elite? Why do we have to have a QB for a draft class to be elite.

They can but other than Star/Jarvis Jones/Joeckel what other do you see? I really like Warmack and think he could be an Elite guy but he plays a position that normally doesn't go top 10.

I don't look just at the top ten for Elite guys.... I guess what I'm trying to say is you could have a All World OG ( Warmack ) a 10 plus Sack guy ( Moore ) a tackle monster in ( T'eo) all around play maker in ( Jones ) and shut down the run in ( Star )

To me this draft is great. Just not for QB's or RB's

You need quarterbacks because they're synonymous with turning a franchise around. If you draft Mario Williams, you won't become a perennial contender right away. However, if you draft Andrew Luck, you might just make the play offs that year.

For teams that don't need a QB, nothing has changed. But those aren't the teams that are desperate (usually).

it must be recognized that the proletariat does not get the respect he deserves. this draft is very strong in the prole class yet lacks bourgeoisie which is why those who evaluate draft classes of whom are bourgeoisie call a draft class weak. they find the labour class to be replacable with late round picks while bourgeoisie positions required to be high picks.

I wouldn't consider this draft class weak, however QBs are lacking. Probably be like 2006 or 2008 when there were no QBs taken in the first 2 picks.

Doubt it, some team will overvalue Geno or Barkley and take them with a top 5 selections. Wouldn't be surprised if both are gone in the top 10.

If the Chiefs are picking first or second they pretty much have to take a QB, so there goes that!

A lot of time between now and draft day. I think we could see a couple of guys distance themselves at the senior bowl and NFL combine.

2006 draft was still great a draft. Yes - Vince Young and Matt Leinart were flops. Yes Reggie Bush, AJ Hawk and Michael Huff didn't live up to their hype. But you had lower round picks like Maurice Jones-Drew, Brandon Marshall, Elvis Dummervil, Kyle Williams, Devin Hester, D'Qwell Jackson and Jahri Evans. You still had a lot of 1st rounders playing at a pro bowl level too - Tambi Hali, Mario Williams, Haolti Ngata, Antonio Cromartie, Nick Mangold and Vernon Davis. Plenty of other solid contributors.

The 2006 NFL combine was nuts. Reggie Bush running in the low 4.3's with high level strength numbers. Vernon Davis absolutely blowing the place up with WR speed, agility, vertical numbers at 250+ pounds and putting up huge strength numbers. Mario Willaims coming in at offensive tackle size and running a 4.6 with a 40"+ vertical. Ngata put up amazing strength numbers and good speed numbers for his size. Broderick Buntley, Manny Lawson and Kameron Wimbley put up amazing numbers. It's been 7 years now and I'm starting to be convinced we may never see another Mario Williams or Vernon Davis at the combine.

This Rams fan agrees. You guys and us both need a legit #1. I like Hunter, Patterson and Williams for the Rams with one of their 2 first rounders.

I actually like this class. The juxtaposition to other draft classes is what is souring most on the overall talent. It is unfair to compare this class or most inre qb's. This definitely doesn't have wr top end talent like Julio and aj.

You have four guys who are probably going to be drafted in the first to play LT if Matthews comes out.

There are usually a bunch oh passrushers at 43 de or 34 olb, it just seems there are an inordinate amount this year.

I think top end RB talent is fools gold when it comes to draft talent.

I am really hoping the Rams do not draft a WR high this year. Not that I don't want to see them get more talented in that area, but I would like to see how Quick and Givens do in their second year before we go shopping again. Besides that, while there are a lot of talented receivers this year, the best receivers in college football (Watkins, Lee and Hill)(IMO) are all sophomores. If we take another receiver high we almost certainly would not take one of those guys in 2014. I wouldn't mind taking a gamble on a guy like Marquess Wilson in the 3rd or 4th round. He is clearly a 1st/2nd round talent that is almost sure to fall after the way he left the team this year. Just the kind of guy that Fisher loves to bring in.
