Completely agree especially the parts in bold.

It depends how the exchange went down. Tebow Asking or saying he doesn't want to run it, is completely differnet from refusing to. If Tebow said he doesn't want to, Rex would say "Shut up and play" if he really wanted Tebow to play.
Rex might have realized it was in the Jets best interest to start Kerley to see if he could do the wildcat for next year.

Sorry j-mike, tebow isn't > anythinv. The jetz are a joke but so is tebow.
Moral of this story is that the Jets are a laughing stocm and Tebow is a whiny ***** who will be out of this league after what should be a HILARIOUS stint in jax.

Can you imagine what this story would look like if say, any other player in the league refused to play because he thought he should play more?
Pretend this is Mike Vick or Alex Smith. Coach comes with a package to get them in the game, but they refuse cause they'd rather be starting cause they think they deserve it. Anyone wanna say the media wouldn't kill them as selfish me first players?
But Tebow is white and prays on the field. So for that, he's ever the good guy.

I wouldn't blame Smith nearly as much as Tebow, given his last two years.

I like how people are pretending the Jets said "If Sanchez fails, the job is automatically yours, no matter how bad you appear in practice." Maybe that's how Tebow-nation saw it.

If Tebow thought he would end up 3rd string behind McElroy, he wouldn't have agreed to being traded to the Jets. I don't know the details, but I assume Tebow went in thinking he was backup to Sanchez. That's what most fans thought anyway.

This is a really unfair criticism. Earlier in the season when the locker room "back-stabbing" scandal broke out Tebow still handled it with as much grace and class as I thought anyone in the world could. He's been nothing but ultra-compliant throughout the entire season, where he's been forced to eat all kinds of dirt off the ground. All he wanted was just to get one SINGLE as snap to show his ability as a traditional dropback passer or the lack thereof. With Sanchez's mighty struggle all year long I truly think he deserves one shot; not even a shot to be named starter but just to throw the goddamn ball.
I feel like nowadays the attention on Tebow has already transformed from one on a Media-darling to one on a social caricature. The fact that he's constantly discussed and mentioned is not a sign of people cutting him some slack but wanting him to do badly.
Two-cents from a neutral observer who's not a Jets fan nor a Tebow fan.

He had the preseason and a whole years worth of tape from last year, so its not like he was just cast off without even being given a look. Nobody wants a QB like him. He doesn't make reads. He scrambles around until someone gets open. If you're an offensive coordinator who spends the whole week designing these passing concepts, wouldnt you get frustrated when the QB just does whatever he wants? I don't blame anyone for not playing him.

In that case the Jets never should have traded for him, or told him implicitly or explicitly that he would be the backup to the starter.

I thought it was pretty clear that he was coming in to be a gadget player. I don't think he was ever in a position to dictate terms. It's not like any other teams were beating down his door trying to get him.

How do you know he did? Because ESPN are trying to get people to read their articles and they make up ******** headlines for them?
If he actually did refuse to play, then he's an idiot, but I don't understand why everyone is just assuming he refused to play when no one was even said that.

Yeah I wasnt there I don't know. I'm using the media coverage. You got a better source? Literally no other player would draw this reaction.

Read the actual article and watch the ESPN video on it. It actually quotes Rex Ryan saying it was a team decision.
If this was any other player it wouldn't even be a story and that player wouldn't be accused of refusing to play when literally no one has said that. It's stupid.

Rex also has a reputation of protecting his players...
Not saying I know what happened but still....actually, I don't even care.

Hi. I live in the area. I've been reading beat reporters take. Tebow said he didn't want to do the wildcat because he was offended by not starting. Honestly, who cares? It's not just espn. So there's that. All these people are all on his knob again with this he didn't get a fair shot garbage an he's good and a winner etc and that's what the most important slash annoying thing is
