ESPN's John Clayton suggests Matt Flynn will not be back in Seattle next season.
Flynn is due $5.25 million in base salary for 2013, but only $2 million of that is guaranteed. "The Seahawks have the luxury of shopping him and seeing if they can get value. If not, then they can cut him and move on," writes Clayton, a former Seahawks beat writer. Despite losing a training camp battle to Russell Wilson this season, Flynn figures to draw interest from teams planning to run a West Coast scheme in 2013. The Bills, Chiefs and Cardinals are three of the most quarterback-needy teams in the league.

With the way John Schneider has drafted thus far, I'd be thrilled to welcome a pro bowler with a 5th, a starter with a 6th, or a contributor with a 7th!
But seriously, why not give up a 4th or 5th for him if you need a QB?
This draft class sucks and it's not like he lost the camp battle because he was horrible. He lost because Wilson is the truth.

At least I can root for Megatron going for 2,000. He should send game balls to Gruden and Chris Carter if he does it.

The Colts have nothing to play for. I would have agreed with myself at the beginning of the season, but for a different reason. They are still looking for a win though, so go Colts!

I can't see it either, especially there in San Fran.
Have to say though that defense looks not quite the same without Justin Smith. The D-line sunday night was abysmal.

Carroll looks straight up MAFIA in this gif, like he just whacked the 49ers ball boy and stuffed him in a duffel bag on the Seahawks team bus.
He's even got the pimp strut!lol

It makes me really happy that Pete was able to redeem himself for his failures in New England even if he never wins the superbowl, at least he's not a failure now.

Yes, not having Justin Smith the last game and a half has really been apparent. Right when he went out of the lineup New England went on their scoring spree, and Seattle torched the 49ers on the ground from the get-go on his side. The first touchdown you can see Ricky Jean-Francois get leveled on his ass by the left tackle and Lynch rumbles his way toward the endzone. I'm just glad we've clinched a playoff berth at this point and still have a chance to win the division against the Cardinals and still have a chance to even get the #2 seed assuming Minnesota takes care of business.

I also enjoyed Okung dominating Aldon Smith from start to finish.
The 49ers got no pressure whatsoever. Even Giacomini played well and he's usually awful.

The 49ers looked exhausted from start to finish. That New England game was more like a basketball affair with Tom Brady and that offense. Then of course you go from east coast all the way back to west coast and play against Seattle in that stadium...just wasn't a good recipe. It will be interesting to see how they move forward especially with Justin Smith and Vernon Davis missing the next game most likely and Mario Manningham done for the year.

Where do we talk about this disgusting act?
Last week, former Big Brown Bear Lions offensive lineman Lomas Brown was on ESPN Radio and admitted that he purposely allowed a defender to hit former Lions quarterback Scott Mitchell to get him knocked out (injured) of a game.
Mitchell told The Dan Patrick Show that Brown’s actions were “reprehensible and said he was hurt by such an act.”
“It just really hurt,” Mitchell said. “It was extremely disappointing. I’m really shocked by it, to be honest. Here’s a guy I’ve had in my house, I had a big dinner for the offensive linemen every year, he came to my house and ate dinner, I gave my offensive linemen gifts every year. For him to do that is just reprehensible, beyond words. It’s really disappointing, it really is painful. When you mess with my family, mess with my livelihood, mess with my health, it’s unacceptable. It’s B.S. I just wouldn’t do it to a teammate. I wouldn’t do it. If Lomas has a problem with me, come talk to me. To try to get someone hurt, it’s just mind-boggling.”
“People get seriously hurt in this game,” Mitchell said. “For someone to just lay down like that, it’s unacceptable.”

Wow. I'd have to hear it in context, but just at face value that is terrible. Very surprised Lomas Brown said such a thing.
