They have quotes of people saying he did? Its really not hard for media to make up stuff like this. Their only incentive is getting people to read their stuff.

If he actually did say it, i'm not going to defend him. This isn't about loving Tebow or thinking he didn't get a fair shot. If the Jets don't want to play him, that's fine. I just thought it was unfair how people were accusing him of being an asshole when he hadn't been proven of doing anything wrong.

Espn is reporting that he only talked rex Ryan that he wanted nothing to do with wild cat as he wants only to be a drop back type of QB not a wild cat. Nothing was said he didnt wanna play. Stupid media and peiole jumping to conciliation.

Well we're almost on page 5 here, so, yeah apparently so.
And every national sports talk show has mentioned it that I've heard.
Tebow moves the dial..... so many people love the guy, and so many hate the guy.

This sounds like a smokescreen to get people to forget what the real problem is there, and that's that the Jets suck on both sides of the ball, on the sideline, and the front office.

Why do you people care so much about Tim Tebow? He's terrible.

I wish the NY media and ESPN would just get off Tebow's case.
After listening to what Ryan said and hearing Tebow's press conference, it's a shame the way he attracts so much negative attention when he hasn't even been playing!!!

People are flat out lying about this dude and looking for any chance to smear the guy.

I still think it's a bias against the guy because in many cases he's worn his faith on his sleeve.
If it was just football I can't imagine the media being so obsessed with him.

You have his teammates anonymously bash him in the media saying he sucks,(I've never seen that happen in the NFL before), now these reporters are falling over themselves to say that Tebow isn't a team first guy because he no longer wants to play in the wildcat.

The guy's been on the bench all season, how is he still the top story about the Jets???

Tebow has turned into this perfect/enigma of a human being, and it really bothers a lot of folks.

I mean lets break him down:
he does charity work and is devoted to faith. He was also a very successful college football player while also being very unique in his individuality. many see him as a tremendous role model. Basically, he is (was) very good on the field and a very good person off the field who always made the right decision even when no one was looking.

a lot of people want to be like this, this quality of person (or maybe think they are but know deep down theyre really not), but few have the discipline to be as hard working, committed, and genuinely unselfish as Tebow. he doesnt do all that he does to look good, he does it because he really wants to help and ALWAYS has, well before he was famous.

there are those who want to tear him down and find that hes a phony, and i get the feeling that as soon as this rumor/story hit everyone saw their chance to go 'aha gotcha told you he was fake!'

its very sad really. rather than admiring and celebrating the quality individual that he is and the help he gives people, many would rather find him to be a fraud.

Sanchez owns the Bills. Good decision from Rex. Helps us potentially secure a Top 4-6 pick.

Being a Bills fan is depressing.

if the bills are smart, they mail this one in and make it look like sanchez has figured it out. unfotunately, i dont think anyone is capable of making him look decent. Cant throw for him and lord knows an open guy is no guarentee he'll A) find him and B) actually deliver a catchable ball.

meanwhile, rex hands his headset over to an assistant for the game so that he can continue to kick tebow in the groin repeatedly without interruption.

After this atrocious season, Rex still trusts Sanchez over Tebow. Speaks volumes about the talent level of the later.

Sanchez will hurt himself on the first series, Tebow will be forced to play and he'll complete less than 20 percent of his passes for the rest of the game... but they'll win because HE'S A GAMER

Nothing good will come from starting Tebow. This game means nothing, and if Tebow goes out and plays well then Rex will have another controversy on his hands. He probably gives the Jets the best chance to win next week, but Rex isn't foolish enough to squander a chance to have the flexibility to pick the successor to Sanchez at QB.

Being a Bills fan is depressing.
Brad Smith will have 2 kick return TD and a TD as a wildcat QB for good measures vs us to secure the Bills the win.

You ain't seen depressing till you've seen the Jets special teams.

Really no reason not to start Tebow exept for Rex's obvious dislike for the guy. A few weeks ago people on here were commenting how you can't start Tebow with the weak part of the schedule coming up. If you use that logic the guy would never play.

I do find it quite hilarious that Tebow was traded for and consistently called the "back-up QB" but in every instance that something has happened to the starter he's been passed up. Yet guys like McElroy, Lindley, Quinn, and Skelton get massive chances to be failures repeatedly and the guy who won a playoff game is so bad he can't even get in lol.

I mean sure, Tebow does suck. But I've had to watch QB play this year from the Cardinals that is downright embarrassing, and those guys get numerous chances to keep starting.

No reason to start Tebow. The Jets are going to cut him, he has no trade value and they're stuck with Sanchez for another year.
