I think the biggest knock against AD is that their first half MVP was Percy Harvin, just saying.

100% serious. Peterson was great this year. But he has been great other years too and the team has sucked. The team improving around him helped a bunch.

He has certainly had other great years but this has easily been his best year in the league. He willed the Vikings into the playoffs.

He's been the qb of this team since 2006, and he has 1 playoff win to show for it. And countless failures in the clutch. This game is important because he's in a contract year, and if he doesn't produce again at the most critical game of the season, Dallas has to take a long hard look at their future with him and whether they want to invest another 5 to 6 years with him under center.
I think I would re-sign him regardless of the outcome of this game, but it's no lock that will happen. That's why this is a career defining game for him in my eyes. It could shape his future.
|
Oh man I agree...the narrative about him isn't good at all.....my point is that every year there's another "big game he has to win to cement his legacy".
That'll continue until he stops playing.

He hasn't been THIS good, especially after his injury. And Denver just got to the divisional round with a QB who couldnt even beat out Sanchez or Mcelroy for a starting job on that joke of a team in NY. Peterson is far more valuable.

Nobody is forcing the Packers to start Graham Harrell though. That would be their own idiotic decision.

Without Manning Denver still has a good OL, great defense, and talented WR's. They are still a playoff team without Manning.
Without Peterson what do the Vikings have? A pick in the top 5 of the draft.

Why the hell do we say "without Peterson"? Peterson played in 12 games last year in which they were 3-9. They were a top-five pick team with or without him. And that is my main argument. A Peyton Manning led team (outside of his rookie year), would never have a season missing the playoffs, let alone a top-ten pick. And in that way, he is more valuable.

It's the 2012 NFL MVP Award. Previous years don't count for ****.

So the Vikings record last year and Peytons career up till now mean we should give it to Manning?
