Hopefully the Bucs can get some help on defense (pass defense) with that #13 pick. God we need it so much.

First one should be head to head. Titans defeated Jets.
First 17 are set.. It looks like you do the math wrong. 129-125-2 for Jets' SOS.

Nope my math was correct. 130-124-2 was their SOS but it rounded to 0.512 and the conference record was 2nd tiebreaker, not head to head
Couldn't find the nfl.com draft order tiebreaker page, it used to be on there last year, so wiki will have to do:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationa...ng_draft_order

Arrowhead said otherwise but blogging the beast agreed with you.

I'll let you know when the dust settles tomorrow. Honestly if Tannenbaum's still the GM I'm not going to root for the Jets next year, and he'll probably trade up with the Raiders or Jaguars and draft whatever QB gets hyped up enough.

No it isnt. First tiebreaker for draft is SOS, first tiebreaker for standings (playoffs) is head-to-head. Not the same.

Making a mock out of this order is next to impossible right now. If the draft were next week i'd say there would be 10 first round trades.

Shane, I'm remembering off the top of my head which means I'm most likely wrong, but isn't the draft order only affected by the Super Bowl teams? Once a team is eliminated from the playoffs, they are dropped into the draft slot that fits their record then the final 2 spots in the round are slated for the Super Bowl winner and loser.
So when all is said and done, the Falcons and Broncos are guaranteed to be no higher than 28/29, right?

I think that's how it used to be done. The top 20 picks are all non-playoff teams now. 21-24 teams eliminated in wild card round, 25-28 divisional, 29-30 conference and 31 and 32 are the Super Bowl teams.

Really? When was that change made? When they turned the whole thing into a spectacle with only 1 round on a Thursday night?
I'm still bitter about that change. It was so much better with 1-3 on Sat and 4-7 on Sunday.

Lions at #5. Best defensive player not a DT, probably go DE.

Going right to work on a new mock draft as soon as the underclassmen deadline passes.
Will be incorporating all of the underclassmen into the rankings at that time as well.
Then it will be time to hop on a jet plane for Mobile, Alabama and the Senior Bowl!

If the saints were going to have a losing record they should have sucked more.

The worst format was when they did rounds 1&2 on one day, and rounds 3-7 on the next day. Five rounds of the draft on a single day was too much.
