Question for BBD:
Everyone seems to be crapping on Stafford this season. What are your thoughts on him?

Late to the outside...
Schaub is trash. His lack of arm strength is obvious in this game too.

I feel like that can always happen on Schaub throws.

I think he needs to do a better job of scanning the field. He left a lot of plays on the field this year.
He also needs a qb coach who will get on his ass about mechanics. I understand his arm is ridiculous and he can get away with it, but bad habits are bad habits.
I think he'll get it together, but he was disappointing this season bc he fell in love with Megatron too much. Lots of plays were left on the field bc he's trying to force it instead of just hitting the man the defense gave him.

The big thing with Stafford is he can throw without needing a set base and he knows it. If he can get his mechanics down it will really help his accuracy

That's why you force Schaub and Dalton to throw to the outside. One late throw and it's 6 the other way.
Like I said, the gameplan for both teams are similar, they're using these quarterbacks inability to throw outside to their advantage, and they're smothering the middle of the field with defenders.

Its sounding more and more like we are gonna see Joe Webb tonight. Ponder cant even stay on the field for warm ups cause of his elbow.

I can't blame him. Everyone is in love with that man, myself included. I'm willing to trade any potential heirs and my entire life savings for him to play for the Titans. Speaking of which, give me your thoughts on Jake The Snake Hurt Locker. I'm asking you because you seem to have an opinion on everything and anything.

And that's how you open up the middle of the field for Schaub to throw Kubiak.
If Houston can keep getting them with these stretch runs that will open up the middle for Schaub to throw into. Those LBs will start sliding to the outside and he'll have the harshmarks to attack down the field.

I was a big Locker fan coming out, but I've soured on him a lot. He does not make progressions, he doesn't keep his eyes down the field, his accuracy is poor, and he doesn't throw guys open.
I'm starting to think Locker is going to be a bust, and it's a shame bc I was a big fan of his. I thought his flaws were all correctable, but so far I haven't seen the progress that I wanted to see.
I give him next year to show improvement, if he doesn't improve by a good margin, I think they have to cut the cord.

That's a good point. They're also not that mobile by today's standards which hurts.
Watching Arian Foster make cuts in traffic is awesome. So fluid.

It's not like Ponder is Tom Brady or anything.

Houston needs a TD here. They've dominated this half; going up by 2 isn't going to cut it.

I feel the same away. I don't know why he's struggling so god damn much when he looked better in sporadic play last season and earlier this season. Ever since he came back from injury midseason, he's been trash. It annoys me.
Whatever, if he sucks again next year the Titans can cut him without too much of a cap penalty. Who's in next year's QB class?

Yup. Notice how so far 80% of Schaub's throws have been safe throws in the middle of the field. The other 20% were late throws to the outside that the Bengals gave up.
That pick 6 wasn't the first late throw to the outside tonight. It was the first late throw that Cincy capitalized on though.

Yeah that's whats great about the new rookie cap system. It allows you to take more risks with quarterbacks in the draft, which is why it doesn't make any sense at all anymore to pass on a qb bc of the fear of failure.
I couldn't tell you who is coming out, I don't really pay attention to college football.
I still hope Locker can put it together. I hope. But I'm doubtful.
