I'm surprised this hasn't gotten much attention.
We'll since it's Seattle, I guess I'm not that surprised.
And I understand WHY this happened ($). But it's ********.
There are 4 time slots for Divisional Weekend.
4 ET on Sat.
8 ET on Sat.
1 ET on Sun.
4 ET on Sun.
Only ONE of those time slots puts the Seahawks at the infamous 10 am PT/1 pm ET disadvantage.
And which one do they get...
...
...
That's BS.

The league has had it in for Seattle all year, from the Tate catch against Green Bay to the overturn of Sherman's suspension. My guess is you're not going to get a whole lot of sympathy in here.

Yup they scheduled it just to screw the Seahawks. It's not getting more attention cause its not news. Don't want to travel, win your division.

I am not implying there is any hidden agenda. Their agenda is quite obvious. Put ARod, Brady, and Manning in the three better time slots.
But that doesn't change the fact that they got screwed over some TV revenue.

I guarantee you no one on the Seahawks gives a **** and they'll be well prepared anyway.
But at least their dumb fans have something pathetic to ***** about.

I'm sure they'll be prepared but their bodies aren't accustomed to a gameday schedule during that time slot. That's a fact.
Not to mention the entire fanbase is watching the game at 10 freaking AM.

The 49ers were the only team in NFL History to travel three time zones to play a game on 4 days rest (Sunday-Thursday.) when they played the Ravens last Thanksgiving.
Were you upset with the League's scheduling then?

If anything they have another day to adjust to Eastern time, no? Either way they would be going from Seattle to Washington to Seattle to Atlanta in like 12 days.

It happened like that because these game times are pre-slotted. Had the Vikings won, seattle would be playing saturday night.

It's OK. You get to play the Falcons. That makes up for it.

Exactly. Aren't the game times already pre-slotted?

These are men.
Football players.
Even golfers travel and some have 6:50 am tee-times, while others have 1:25 pm tee-times.
In other words, no big deal here at all.
Nothing to see here.

The three hour difference should be almost negligible. NFL teams have the infrastructure to account for this. Team docs etc know the team's usual schedule and can alter travel times, days, wake up times, curfews, etc to mitigate this. Teams (well the Pats and not who they play) know how to account for the time difference of going to London.
As for the 10 AM start for fan, every single east coast fan in California deals with this almost constantly during the season. I was stationed in Cali for five years, having to watch the Pats almost always Sunday at 10 AM. Plus I was in my early twenties so I had binge drinking and bars to close down on Saturday nights!

The time slots were assigned to the teams with the byes before their opponents were known. That time slot was given to Atlanta. The Falcons would be playing at that time no matter if it was against the Vikings, Redskins, or Seahawks.
And considering the alternative would be playing a better team a day earlier, what the **** are you complaining about?
Sorry, but you really made yourself look like a whiny idiot with thread.

It's a pre slotted game so it doesn't bother me. It's nothing like the rule they made to keep east coast teams from having to travel west too many times, but did nothing for west coast teams (who obviously have a tougher time traveling east.)

If the Seahawks had a pocket full of ***** to give, they wouldn't give any of them to this thread. They could care less when they play or who they play and they have been proving that the last couple weeks. They are just going out there, crackin some skulls and winnin games. Find something else to ***** about...c'mon meat.
