Hmm.. I didn't know the "Hey Malkovich, think fast!" part from Being John Malkovich wasn't in the script.. Just an extra being a drunk jackass. That doesn't sound right, but its funny at least.
Recently watched The Sessions as well as Celeste and Jesse Forever. I recommend them both. John Hawkes very likely will be nominated for Best Actor for The Sessions. He was phenomenal.

The little girl from Beasts of the Southern Wild got nominated for best lead. Has to be the youngest ever. Really upset I missed that one during its theatrical run.
Look at it this way, if Rodgers had Allstate instead of State Farm, he'd be protected from mayhem like this

The Master got jobbed. In no way is Lincoln a better movie and I am amazed Jonny Greenwood was not nominated for Best Original Score. Flight was nominated for Best Original Screenplay? Really?
DDL will probably win Best Actor but Phoenix deserves it. Chastain was incredible in Zero Dark Thirty but I am hearing a ton of buzz about Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook so I think one of those two will win. Tommy Lee Jones was pretty good but every other person nominated for Best Supporting Actor that I have seen gave a better performance than him imo. I think Jones probably wins but I would give it to Hoffman. As for Actress in a Supporting Role I have a bad feeling Sally Field will win who I didn't think gave a good performance. I think Helen Hunt deserves it.
I need to see Amour. Was going to watch it a few days ago and decided against it. Still very much looking forward to watching Silver Linings Playbook. I love me some David O. Russel.
Lincoln getting as much nominations as it did proves once again how much of a sham the Academy Awards show is. I thought it was a pretty bad movie made decent by some good performances. I am dumbfounded by the hype it gets.
How the **** did Denzel get nominated for Flight and John Hawkes got snubbed for The Sessions? IT MAKES NO SENSE!
The score of Lincoln which was not even good over the scores of Cloud Atlas and The Master? Cloud Atlas not being nommed for anything worthwhile? Just a sham.
The Master should have been a lock to win Best Cinematography and it wasn't even nominated. This **** just makes no sense. Happens every year though. Lincoln will clean up and everyone will forget about the movie and wonder why anybody ever considered it even a good movie.

Are you serious? The only one who remotely deserved it was Bradley Cooper. It was just really boring to me because it's just some guy trying to get a hold of his wife, then they make up some stuff about the Eagles, then they dance. It was ok for what it was, but best picture?! I guess I just don't see it.
