Ok, now I have to ask this.
Did anybody here read Canseco's book? Does he mention when he was introduced to roids?
Something tells me PED have been around baseball BEFORE the 'steroids era'.

Aaron and Mays both took amphetamines, Ruth injected sheep testicles, etc. PEDs have ALWAYS been around.

Didn't Dennis Eckersley play with McGwire and Canseco?
I'm missing a point that he is trying to make.

MLB and the MLBPA have agreed to test for HGH. Very surprising.

Must be something out there. The chemists are always ahead of the testers though.

Diamondbacks outfielder Justin Upton invoked his limited no-trade clause to reject an agreed-upon deal between the D'Backs and Mariners that would have sent Upton to Seattle, reports Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports.
@nickpiecoro
Can confirm report by @Ken_Rosenthal and @jonmorosi. Told package from Mariners was "substantial" but Upton blocked the deal.

Any speculation on what the deal would of included?
Maybe something like Walker/Hultzen & Nick Franklin?
Plus some random BP arm because KT can't get enough of those

If I was a non-pitcher with the ability to do so, I would block going to Seattle, too. That's a deathtrap for Upton.

The Mariners offered a four-player package to the D'Backs, according to Scott Miller of CBS Sports. Arizona would have received Nick Franklin, Charlie Furbush, Stephen Pryor and one of Taijuan Walker, Danny Hultzen or James Paxton.

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/s...domestic-abuse
Quote:
Prosecutors contend that Bradley threatened and attacked his wife five times in 2011 and 2012. He was twice arrested at the home in 2011.
"During one incident in November 2012, Bradley allegedly pushed his wife against a kitchen wall and choked her with both hands after she requested that he stop smoking marijuana in front of their children and requested that his friends leave her San Fernando Valley home," said a statement from the city attorney's office.
Prosecutors contend that during other confrontations, Bradley kicked his wife in the ribs, approached her with a baseball bat and threatened her with a knife while telling her: "You'll be dead b---- before you divorce me."
"My client denies it," said Bradley's attorney, Harland Braun. "I've talked to him already. He said, 'She's making up stories. I don't know what she's talking about.' "
|
She's obviously making up stories. Milton Bradley has been a shining example of self control his entire life/career that we have seen. There is no way he would have some kind of explosive outburst of violence.

Hearing it was Minor league shortstop Franklin, reliever Stephen Pryor, Charley Furbush and the mentioned Walker. can't vouch for Arizona pitching but that's some pretty good arms there.

Rafael Soriano to the Nationals, 2 years, 28 million, reportedly. Vesting option, too.
Damn, the Nationals are gonna be good. I'm thankful that Boras didn't convince Ilitch to overspend on him though for the Tigers.
