Every coach who goes to the Miami Dolphins sucks. They're are a terrible organization that doesn't have a clue what the hell is going on. Nick Saban owned Tom Brady when he was in Miami... Brady averaged about 135 yards/game with 4 TD's and 4 INT's in 4 games vs. Saban. He made Jason Taylor Defensive Player of the Year.
Saban's defense while at Michigan St. defeated Tom Brady's Michigan team. They also destroyed Drew Brees and Purdue during the second matchup after Brees got the better of them the year before. You don't call that making adjustments?
NFL coaches are in constant contact with Saban about the techniques he teaches on defense, not the other way around. His pattern-match concepts are taught to NFL defensive coaches.
Furthermore, there's a reason why NFL guys will go out of their way to make sure their sons play for Saban. Jack Del Rio's son turned down scholarship offers from places like Oklahoma St. to walk-on at Alabama and play for Saban. Chris Carter, Rex Ryan, etc... all these people made sure their kids had an opportunity, or will have one to play for Saban. Not to mention Mark Ingram's mother.
He's won more championships than Mack Brown and Bobby Bowden combined. Mack Brown is one of the biggest underachievers in college football considering the resources he has at Texas. Bobby Bowden is from Birmingham, grew up an Alabama fan, played QB at Alabama for a short stint, considered Alabama his dream job, and still sits in Bryant-Denny Stadium to this day to watch his favorite team play on Saturdays. He was hoping to get the Alabama job in the late 80's but Bama decided to hire Bill Curry instead.
There's a lot of people who would love to sit down and have a face to face with anyone who asserts that Nick Saban isn't a great college football coach.. including me.
