Wings play 48 games in 99 days. Should be the same for everyone.
That's a ton of hockey.

Yup, that's why I'm glad the Avs are so young and deep, we may only have one top pairing defensemen, and two #4s, but we've got a bunch of solid bottom pairing defensive guys, a **** ton of quality forwards and are covered in net.

With their complete lack of depth defensively, this is not good.

Grigorenko is going to just own this league. I will be so pumped if we actually have good centers. That are all younger than me. Hooray.

I ravaged my fantasy draft last night. Had a few left of center picks at the end when I tried to get wild with it, but overall my team is straight nasty. I'm quite excited for hockey to start up again.

Central Scouting was smart and knew to put the American at #1
The only good thing about a lost season would have been having a shot at Jones.

Darren Helm is seemingly never going to be healthy and that sucks. He's had an injury to every part of his body in the last calendar year, basically.

Thomas Hickey, former 4th overall pick with 0 NHL games, gets claimed by the Islanders. 2007 was a pretty weak year for Canadian draftees. Turris is starting to put it together, but he's still a little *****.

I'm pretty sure you could have stopped this sentence after the word "year".
When the best players of a draft are Patrick Kane, Logan Couture, Jamie Benn, Ryan McDonagh and a guy whose draft year should have been 2006, it says a lot about its quality.

Obviously America has been closing the gap, but they did pretty well for themselves as far as upper talent goes. The top five drafted freedom fighters from that year were Kane, JVR, McDonagh, Shattenkirk, and Pacioretty. That's not bad at all.
Draft had no depth, though, in addition to a weak first round.

We got Gunnarsson and Frattin from that draft, and we knew the top was weak so luckily we traded for Toskala.

So, Kadri scored a hatty in scrimmage today. Dude's gotta make the team!
Also, Reimer sucks balls. Won't be long before a reinforcement is brought in, ie. Bernier (or yes, Luongo).

I laughed when I saw it. Then I remembered it was the Devils we were dealing with.

Tim Connolly waived lolololol
Pardy waived by us. I think we really want to hold on to Brennan, but I don't think I love his NHL prospects all that much. He's probably still #8 behind Sulzer and Weber.
