Great analysis of Banks, I like him a lot as a first round CB but I wonder if he will struggle to fit with teams that run a more pure man to man based defense, as when he gets beat at the line he can struggle to recover vs faster WR's and in the NFL that could be a big problem.

One of my favorite overall players in the draft, should be a top 12 pick. Teams need lock down CBs and Banks has all the qualities you look for.

<+BOE> Scott, with Burfict's character concerns (whether legit or not) you think Pioli would draft him. :D
<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

Banks got toasted quite a bit this year. He makes some splash plays when he gets the ball in his hands, but I think he is very overrated. You can't teach his length and he is a playmaker but I don't think he is worth a top 15 pick. I already made a thread about it a month or so ago. Not saying he is not draftable or anything but I think he is very overrated.

I hope he drops a bit in the draft. I don't want the Bears to go corner in the first round but if he fell to round two, I'd be ecstatic because I really like him.

Talib is the best comparison. Very inconsistent.

After Milliner there's a handful of corners I prefer over Banks
Jordan Poyer
Desmond Trufant
Will Davis
Logan Ryan
Jamar Taylor
McFadden, Alford, Rhodes close as well
Could we see Banks as a free safety in the NFL?

I've thought that was his best fit for a while. That is where he played as a freshman and was unbelievable there. He is at his best in that centerfielder type of role, I just don't think he is physical enough. He makes plays on the ball and isn't as much of a man to man player as people make him out to be.

Didn't he play off in zone a lot?
FS would be good, but can he hit? I'm sure this day and age NFL it would be fine.
