One interesting aspect of this postseason is how it might affect upcoming contract negotiations. For example, if Matt Ryan plays well, I wouldn't be shocked to see Arthur Blank make him the highest paid player in football. Quite a few other guys will be trying to secure another contact as well.

On that topic. Matt just recently got a nice contract and doesnt seem like the guy to ask for more money right now.

The DeCoud signing was a great one last year, was a little risk big reward type and he has had a great season.

As far as big Paydays coming, I think Spoon is a must to keep around, he is the heart of the defense and needless to say Julio will get paid (which is another reason I think Matt doesnt get more, he would rather keep playmakers around him).

That really sucks for us because once again we have our coaches looking at other positions while trying to prepare our guys for the play-offs. Looks like SP coach Keith Armstrong is a candidate for the Jaguars position.

I am looking forward to your game more than any playoff game I can recall.
I can see anything happening.
I can see you guys blowing them out about 38-14.
I can see them whipping you.
But most likely, I can see a great game, nobody ever leads by more than one score......

I don't like their DBs, especially Brandon Browner who is a th**. I hope Julio blows by him for 2 long scores.
I also hope Jacquizz has a big play on a screen play, and zig-zags across the field, so Julio or Gonzalez can crackblock Browner blindly in the head or ribs.

I think your game and our games are total tossups.
Whoever plays sharper, less mistakes, will probably advance.

Glad we won, but we have the dumbest coaches in the NFL. Nolan calls the most vanilia defense to allow them back into the game. Then on offense we call plays to not lose instead of playing to win. Lastly, you call a timeout with 13 seconds left when you know you are going to kick the FG, so why not call it with 3 seconds left? Then you try an onside kick the give them a chance? How is that even possible. A 6 year old could have made a better decision.

seeing as how many of the falcons' negative tendencies today remain consistent with those under mularkey and BVG, i think it's mike smith who is largely responsible for not keeping the team aggressive when leading and the pitifully soft defense on crucial plays.

I was very close to legitimately stopping with football. So glad we got out of this one. Niners are going to be extremely tough now.

Yeah, I'm worried about the 49ers, but there's no easy way to get to a Super Bowl. Hopefully the Falcons will play better overall game now that they've got the playoff win monkey off their back.
