Of course, I'm hoping they meet that pressure head on and pummel it into submission. But there was no pressure to beat the Pats. Not even close. Don't act like its just a normal day at the office....far from it. That's the difference. We're expected to be victorious. We haven't performed well in those circumstances most of the year. It's worth noting that none of those games had more at stake than this one.
Depends who you ask. I've heard some players say otherwise. Russell Wilson was on a podcast the other day mentioning that after a while, when you're playing, it just feels like another game (in reference to his win over Washington). And that's the reality of the situation. It's just another game. The physical aspect is the same. If you want to talk mentality that is going to be different per player. It would be a lot more difficult to win in New England than in Atlanta. And the 49ers had pressure to win against the Patriots as they had lost to the Rams the previous week and were in danger of losing the division to the Seahawks.
