From Charlie Campbell:

Cameron worked the middle of the field well with Rutgers tight end D.C. Jefferson. They connected for a big gain as Cameron put the ball up where only Jefferson could make the reception. The big tight end walled off the linebacker to make a nice catch in traffic. He added a good reception on an out route. Jefferson (6-6, 250) had a good opening practice.

Lande wrote that Hawthorne struggled, but this guy loved him. And Brugler agrees with Lande.

From Jeff Risdon via twitter on this morning's East practice:
1h Jeff Risdon @JeffRisdon
Matt Catapano just ignored the RT & blew up a goal line rollout

1h Jeff Risdon @JeffRisdon
More Matt Cat--beauty stunt got him clean shot on QB that would have been a safety, real quick laterally

Hawthorn is on West Squad.....I heard at east practice Catapano and RB Ray Graham looked impressive yesterday. As far as Hawthorn...i won't comment because i'm not sure. diff people say diff things it seems.
Jeff got the first name wrong but, well...

From Yardbarker.com on Tuesday's practice...
The first day of full pads is always a great one to track, especially in getting to see the offensive line and defensive line meet up and show off their skills for the first time.
While Collin Klein struggled, the receiver and running backs didn’t show much, and the defensive backs and linebackers weren’t of much note, it was the day to learn Terron Armstead’s, David Bass’s, Mark Jackson’s, and Mike Catapano’s name.
Defensive Line
-The star of the practice without question was Missouri Western State’s David Bass. He was a step quicker than another defensive linemen off the snap, maintained balance and explosiveness in every drill, and was using his hands with force in both drills and one vs. one reps. In the pass protection drill, he was 4 for 5 in getting a sack, with only Terron Armstead slowing him (but likely still forced QB out of the pocket). A dominate day, he may no longer be a “late round sleeper” if he keeps this play up.
-Also impressing was Mike Catapano of Princeton. The defensive end struggled to bend on the outside and run the arc as a pass rusher, but he consistently stays low in drills and in one vs. one drills, and dipped his inside shoulder very well. He was active and aggressive all day, and was a force as a rusher today, giving blockers (especially Rutgers’s RJ Dill) fits all day.
-Devin Taylor had the now synonomus “Stiff” written in his scouting report today multiple times, and even scouts were talking about his all bull rush for the most part. He flashed some inside counter moves, but he’s simply too tall to adjust against more defined blockers (like Terron Armstead) and as expected, struggled today.

Are we meant to care about this Catapano guy? I don't see what you're trying to gain by getting some people on a forum to start liking him. I know you love him and everything, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to.

Just been following him looking and hearing lots of good things about him and David Bass in particular. Check out what Shawn Zobel said about him and all others from todays practice at Draftheadquarters.com

Not of today's yet. I think the best coverage is probably Draftheadquarters.com They have the East Team Practice analysis from today and West Team Practice coming later. But those two seem pretty good. OptimumScouting.com too

Tonight's podcast is going to be a East / West Shrine Game show!
We have a few draft analysts who are in St. Petersberg covering the game lined up as guests so be sure to tune in for the low-down on prospect who are both impressing and disappointing.

Russ Lande tv interview with Boston Globe about standout East West Shrine players Ray Graham, Mike Catapano, David Bass and William Campbell. Says Ray Graham can be a good 3rd down back and that William Campbell and Mike Catapano can be NFL Starters.

So apparently Nick Moody will be wearing this facemask during the game.

Has anyone heard anything about how DeVonte Holloman has performed in practices this week? I think he is very underrated.

I have been reading good things about that Cooper Taylor kid. He is a 6'4 230lb safety - transferred from GA Tech to Richmond. From all reports he looks very good in coverage and is a very fluid athlete. I think he is going to be a riser - with all these teams utilizing the TEs like they do having that kind of tall athletic safety will be something teams are looking for.

EWS game is here!
1st half analysis:
Both Michael and Graham lost a fumble, but I really like watching both of em run. At this point I prefer Graham over Michael because of his cutting, but Michael is making a case why he should not be overlooked. Great pad level.
Corey Fuller is good!
Collin Klein continues to show why he shouldnt be a QB. He's not even on Tebow's level.
The Klein that actually is good, is AJ Klein, Iowa St. LB.
Middle Tennessee WR, Amos is making a name for himself.

Amos started 2nd half off with 2 catches, interested in him going forward.
