Why is this 46 pages? I don't get why this is such a story.

I tend to believe Manti. The guy was embarrassed to let out that he was invested in someone he'd never met. Online dating is comparable to how people perceived online gaming 10-15 years ago. It's not exactly something you go around telling people you do because it's still really foreign to the masses.
