I don't get your point. It clearly is a hell of a lot easier to accomplish with an elite qb. And for the record I've always maintained that you need a top 10 qb to win it all. So I'm still wrong, and I'll man up and admit it, but I still strongly believe that if you want to be a SB caliber team, it just makes a lot more sense to start at quarterback.

It's really all a subtle reference to people who hate on Cutler.

You aren't wrong. Flacco is right about top ten. Somewhere between 8-12 I'd say.

The Pats need some high octane on the outside. The Pats need to go after Mike Wallace and draft DeAndre Hopkins. Ravens play them so close to the LOS not thinking about anything over the top

To be fair to Monomach, I would not rate Joe Flacco as a top 10 qb to start the season, so I would be wrong still.
With what transpired this season, I think we might be able to throw him in the top 10, I had him more of a top 12-14 qb before the start of the season, but with Rivers regressing, Stafford regressing, Romo sealing his fate in my eyes, and Schaub being average I think Ryan and Flacco have really elevated their status this year.
It's gonna be tough ranking qbs moving forward. We have a lot of talent with some of these young guys.

Feels good. Can't wait to see the 49ers. Defense and the running game aren't dead yet.

Let's give this Ravens defense some credit too. They weren't ranked high during the season but they've played very well this postseason.

They're probably fine with a healthy Gronkowski but most of the faithful would like a deep threat on the outside.
Some help at safety wouldn't hurt either.

As much as I love Ray Lewis and I even really like the Ravens but I want to see Randy and Kaep win it too.

Good man. Moss needs to win one last ring more then Lewis does.

One last ring? Well, he does have an AFC Championship ring from 2007

Not saying their system doesn't work cause a loss in the Super Bowl and AFC title game means your doing something right.
Just think outside of Wes that WR core is lacking. And if I was going to pay 9/10 million a year it would be for Mike Wallace and his speed

Wallace isn't the answer, he's not that great, speed doesn't help you when you can't hold on to the ball.

You know they have a speed wideout who went 74 catches for 900 yards, right? Same guy who's good enough to put up 1400 yards with Kyle Orton. ;)
Mike Wallace is fast, but he's not going to blow the doors off of Lloyd or anything. They're probably really close.
There are two reasons the Pats don't have the downfield game that they used to:
a) Belicheck kept putting good short-to-mid range weapons (TEs, Welker, Woodhead) in front of Brady. Now he feels safe throwing to those guys and isn't taking chances deep as often as most teams...when Lloyd even gets to run deep that is, because...
b) Josh McDaniels is using his speed receiver on too many short routes. The man is sacrificing big plays for high completion %s and fewer turnovers.
The Ravens weren't playing them close because they didn't have downfield speed. They played them close because they figured out those two things.
I mean, they can spend a bunch of their cap room on another WR that McDaniels is just going to use for screens and quick outs...seems like a terrible waste of money, though.
Besides, they have the #1 offense. I think they're doing ok. If teams keep selling out, jamming at the line, and defending short, McD'll just adjust.

I mean, who needs to run routes? Just run in a straight line down the field and beat the DB. Pretty much the only thing he would need to do for them.
