Rank the new young QB's (2010-2012 draft)
The other young qb thread is ranking guys from 08 and 09. I thought we should rank qb's from the 2010-2012 draft, aka new young qb's.
I count 13 QB's from the 2010-2012 draft that have started a good number of games for their team recently. Rank them from 1-13 and comment on who you think are viable long-term QB's, and the guys who are going to get benched/cut soon.
Probably wouldn't be fair to rank young QB's from these drafts that haven't/aren't/won't be playing, such as- Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, John Skelton, Ryan Mallett, Brock Osweiler, and Terrelle Pryor. Some won't start meaningful games again, and a few may get a chance and fail or not, but its simpler to leave them out.
For reference, the QB's are
2010- Sam Bradford
2011- Cam Newton, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder, Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick
2012- Andrew Luck, RG3, Ryan Tannehill, Brandon Weeden (despite age, he was drafted and a 1st rounder so he should count for now), Russell Wilson, Nick Foles
Use any criteria you want- better next year, long-term future, etc.
Tier 1- franchise QB's
1- RG3 (if healthy)
2- Luck
3- Kaepernick
4- Newton
5- Wilson
Tier 2- solid guys who need to prove more to be franchise QB's (not just stats)
6- Dalton
7- Tannehill
8- Bradford
Tier 3- all guys who won't be long-term starters
9- Ponder
10- Foles
11- Weeden
12- Locker
13- Gabbert

This is how I think it'll work out long-term.
1- Wilson
2- Luck
3- Kaepernick
4- Newton
5- RGIII
6- Dalton
7- Bradford
8- Tannehill
The others aren't even on the radar.

so is this another thread created for 49er fans to come fap to Kaep, which will eventually evolve into the Kaep vs. Newton argument?

Wilson is going to be a problem in the NFC West for a long time. Kind of why I want to get this Super Bowl victory in the bag. It would be make it a lot easier to prepare for his inevitable dominance.

I'll probably make a list later but Russ will most likely be at the top of it.

I'll have a better feel for which of these guys are going to be good/elite QBs long term after the 2013 season.

You really think Wilson has a better career than Luck, Newton or RGIII?

Luck and Griffin will be substantially better players than Wilson.

I like seeing Mallett included by some posters on these lists.
I think when he finally gets his starting gig either in NE or elsewhere, people are going to be like.....OMG!!!!
This could be a situation similar to the 49ers with Joe Montana and Steve Young in a few years, where the Pats make a lateral move by choosing Mallett to be the starter and NE doesn't skip a beat on offense.
Great to see the guy literally has kept his nose clean sitting on the bench for NE.

The thought of Mallett sitting on the bench for the next 2 years makes me sad. Brady needs to get injured so he can show his magic and then get traded.

I guess I'm the only one who really likes Ryan Tannenhill, dogshit team around him, not withstanding.
