Do you guys think Vince Young has any value going into next year seeing how the zone read is being used more? Vince Young ran the zone read to perfection in college.

All the guys who are doing zone read stuff are also capable passers though. VY doesn't scare me as a passer at all. He just wasn't a good enough QB to warrant a roster spot.

CK, RG3 and Russell Wilson are all really smart QBs intellectually. VY and Vick don't belong in the same category with the previous three QBs.
VY maybe could run this offense, but I wouldn't trust him as a starter. IMO he has very little feel for the vertical game and to make to pistol/zone read work in the pros, the QB has to be a legit passing threat.

A great / good first half by the 49ers .Kaep is gaining good experience tonight. But I think the 49ers need to get to run the game now and tire out this defense. I love our passing attack right . But we just need to slow down a little take some time off the clock.

Assuming the Patriots don't keep him, who overpays for Wes Welker this offseason?

It would have been the Chiefs if Pioli was still running the show.

I'm gonna say Cleveland. Lombardi blows his load over Patriots players and they will need a safety option for Weeden or whoever will be quarterbacking this team

I think him and Greg Jennings are both going to be disappointed.

Man, am I glad that this isn't the off-season we need to re-sign James Jones, and is the off-season we need to re-sign Jennings. Sure, he might still go elsewhere, but with the injury shortened season, it at least gives us a better shot.

I'm 99% sure he's gone.
He'll just go where the most money is, which is basically what he's said already.

Miami sounds like the logical destination.
I'd like to see Percy Harvin in NE. He's perfect for them.

I wouldn't mind sending Percy to NE for a first and a later pick I think... I'm not real sure though. I would hate to see him leave but I don't think retaining him long term is an option for us. Might as well send him away while his value is highest.

Isn't he a free agent? They can just sign him no?

No, still signed for one more year through 2013. It's almost a certainty he will be holding out until traded though.

One more year. He'll make about $2.7 million against the cap for Vikings.

I think this is unrealistic to expect for Harvin. He is a great talent and a very dynamic player who is an OC's dream. But he isn't healthy right now, has only played a full 16 games once in his career, and I think teams would be very leery of giving up a lot for a guy who hasn't shown that he can stay on the field. Add that to the likelihood that whoever trades for him is going to have to sign him to a 5-year/$50 million contract to get him into camp, and I think the most you might be able to get for him is a 2nd/3rd rounder. This is assuming that the Vikings are even willing to deal him in the first place.

Belicheck may get such a massive boner from the idea of replacing Wes Welker with Percy Harvin, that he just won't give a ****.

Percy doesn't have the body to take the abuse that Welker takes.

Boner-induced not giving of ***** laughs at your silly attempts to use logic.

Welker to Cinci, I think. They don't have anything going on after AJ Green and they're going to be forced to spend a lot of money this offseason to get up to the salary floor.

Hawkins is a good/young playmaker, if Sanu gets healthy he's a good posession guy, etc. They aren't dead depth wise, although that'd be more obvious if Dalton wasn't so average.

Meh on Hawkins. I'd say he's a lot more "ok" than "good."
Sanu has 16 career catches. He's not anything yet and we don't know whether he ever will be.
The Bengals are ready to compete NOW and they will be forced to spend an additional $42 million dollars on salaries for just next year.

Boy, you got that right. Baltimore beat the tar out of Welker Sunday and he got back up every time.
