Michael Mauti, ILB, Penn St.
Reportedly did not tear any ligaments.
From Scott Brown's twitter:
Talked to Michael Mauti and he is upbeat about his NFL future. Said he did not suffer a torn ACL when he went down in Indiana game.
Mauti: “I just had to get it cleaned up a little bit, and I’ll be good in a couple of months.”
Mauti on most recent knee injury/setback: “Just a little extra adversity. You’ve just got to bounce back, and I’m confident I will.”
Probably wont' be able to perform in the combine and i don't know about Pro Days, but I still think a team takes a chance on him in the 4th since it's not a career ending injury.

SS - was that just posted recently? If so he may have an outside chance at going to the combine but sounds like he will be ready by his pro day. IMO a team is going to overdraft Teo in the first round while Mauti will be around late round 2/early round 3 and be a bargain for whoever drafts him.
The fact that it was not a torn ACL should help with his medical red flags a little bit.

Remember the knee that was injured had a brace on it when he got hurt. That probably saved him.

His knees have to be a huge concern. I'm thinking he doesn't come off the board before round 4 no matter if and how he performs at the combine or pro days.

@KimJonesSports
PSU's Michael Mauti sent handwritten notes to all 32 GMs, about how much football means to him. Feedback from GMs: they're impressed.

Is he closer to Sean Lee or Dan Connor?

If he didn't have knee concerns, he'd be closer to Sean Lee. He's got 3-down LB tools

Lee tore his ACL missed 08 because of it. This guy has tore both ACL's. But he's a good football guy. I think 4/5 round just as a locker room guy and SP player. Anything else is a plus

He was unbelievable on punt coverage last year, it seemed like he was making at least 1/2 the tackles. I'm biased, but I think he (and Zordich) could be steals in the later rounds

Mauti was definitely a better prospect then Connor earlier in his career. His ability in coverage was among the best in the country.
He has lost a step since then.
Still, his instincts are very good and if he can stay healthy...
