Cal's defense has been absolutely horrendous the past three seasons, so I don't know how good of a hire that is. It could be the lack of talent, but more than likely it's that Pendergast is not a very good coach.

In his three seasons at Cal, from 2010 to 2012, Pendergast's first two teams led the Pac-12 in total defense and pass defense with both three- and four-man fronts while producing nine NFL players. His young 2012 defense, after losing six starters including Pac-12 2011 defensive player of the year Mychal Kendricks, was unable to live up to those high standard

They sucked this year, but were pretty good the two years before that.

Braveheart beat me too it. But that is just not true, they were pretty good up till this year, under him.

UM offered FSU OC James Coley the same position at UM. Apparently FSU has matched the salary, but he'd get to call plays at Miami which he doesn't do at FSU.

Not a coaching change but Les Miles got an extension. Pretty dumb move if you ask me. I just don't think he's a good coach at all. And there has to be something behind the mass exodus of underclassmen from LSU.

Minor news, but DL line coach Ted Gill is leaving Michigan State after six years. He's done a very good job at MSU his entire tenure, so the assumption here is that he's retiring, unless he's covertly gotten a better job.

Kennedy Polomalu out as OC at USC. (Only the OC in title, but a very good RB's coach)
Many think USC will be bringing in someone to actually call plays. Tedford's name as been the hot one.

Yet another classy move by Kiffin. Fire the guy that kids signed to play for the day after they sign.
Here's some of the recruits and current players tweets. The kids should be able to go elsewhere, IMO. Shady deal.
I can't wait for people to rationalize this behavior away. Kiffin is a POS.

Don't bash Lane for this. KP wanted out to go St Louis with Fisher last year but had a big but out. KP wanted out so they fired him to get around the buyout in his contract. If he doesn't wanna be here we shouldn't keep him here. More of a class move on Kiff and Haden's part but it will come out that Kiff is a piece of **** and lead recruits on blah blah blah.

Even if what you said was true, you let the recruits and team know that you are letting the guy go.
Your spinning of the situation is good fun to read however.

That is what is expected. They have a runningbacks coach but KP wanted to be with him last year and Jim wants him so. We will see.
