If that deal isn't good enough for DET, than the next best thing is instead of a 5th this year...they can get a conditional pick next year that's a 5th if Revis stays and a 4th if they can't resign Revis.

An immature receiver that purposely lines up in the wrong spot and doesn't know when to shut his mouth going to the Jets? That can't possibly fail!

He was jealous of Calvin Johnson....and the Jets sure as hell got no Calvin Johnson LOL on the team.
Its a golden opportunity for him honestly and he knows it. Besides I think Young can basically be given away at this point so the Jets might be doing the Lions a little bit of a favor here.

Not that I'm against buying extremely low on a talented player, but I don't think not having a Calvin Johnson is a viable solution to his problems. If he's that insanely jealous of a clearly better player, he needs a psychiatrist.

Meatballs grabbing this one and running with it. It workzzzz on Maddenzzz!
Come to think of it, it probably doesn't even come close to working on Madden.

Only because Madden still thinks Rivers is a good QB.

Why is Sanchez in there. He has no value. The Chargers and Cowboys would want him even less than the Jets do. If they decide to move on from Rivers/Romo it's because they want to draft a first round QB. Sanchez would actually have negative value because of his contract. If for strange reason they were interested in Sanchez, they could just wait for the Jets to cut him after the trade and sign him for a fraction of the price.

Guy on ESPN radio speculated that Revis would be looking for a Mario Williams type deal.

"Hey Jerry, it's me Woody. We're interested in trading Revis to you guys, but there's a catch. You also have to take Sanchez."

Isn't Washington going to have a ton of cap space opening up after their penalties? I don't see how they could get because they don't have any draft picks but if he manages to hit the open market I'd put money on them.

I'd be willing to give up a 7th round pick just for someone to take Titus Young off the teams.

Titus Young's last tweet was just gold. He hashtagged HOF, implying he's a HOF WR.
You can't fake that kind of stupid.

Titus Young has to be pulling the biggest trolling job the NFL has ever seen.

In the actual thread, the guy says it's because Revis is worth too much in those two deals so he had to make the other teams take Sanchize's salary to give the Jets enough value, lol.

Isn't the cap penalty the same whether a player is cut or traded, or is that just in Madden?

The penalty is the same (unpaid bonuses), but the cap number isn't. So it wouldn't really help the Jets until 2014. Unless they wait until after June 1. If they do that, that penalty can be spread out over 2013 and 2014, which would help a small amount this year.

no depends on the teams.
IF traded the other team takes the full salary, while you still pay out the signing bonus.
If cut you are still paying the guaranteed, for Sanchez that is 15 million, and nobody want to pay him.

Titus Young to Detroit Lions: 'I'm tired of threats'
Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young continues to try to get fired. Young threatened to quit earlier this week if he didn't get the football more, which caused Young's coach Jim Schwartz to say that the complaining wasn't such a good idea.
Yet Young was back at the keyboard again Friday.
"Oh I'm not done, if y'all going to cut me let me go. I'm tired of the threats," Young wrote on Twitter.
Young really needs an agent to tell him to stop. Even if Young truly wants out, this isn't the way to make it happen. It won't help him find a job elsewhere because clearly Young's maturity issues will follow him around the NFL.
"Guys are responsible for what they post, what they say," Schwartz said Wednesday. "You wear your uniform 24 hours a day now, everybody's aware of that. We obviously still got some ground to cover there."
This might be the first public use of Twitter by a player going rogue in an intentional effort to get cut. Even when Young doesn't make any sense.
"Never needed the money Give me a dollar and a ball bet I come back #HallofFame," Young wrote.

I wonder what would happen if the players of the 80s/90s had twitter.
