Yes, he's a 320 pound drug addict with no work ethic who's been out of the NFL for three years, last appearing with a 48.8% completion percentage, three touchdowns, and eleven interceptions. Teams shouldn't base their quarterbacking personnel decisions around two of the worst teams in the league.

There is nothing wrong with giving him a look.

Jamarcus wasn't a particularly dumb QB. Don't confuse his laziness with inability to learn.

I think you're overrating the overall quarterback talent across America. Guys like the ones I mentioned are on NFL rosters because there just aren't very many good quarterbacks out there. Zach Maynard is going to get an invitation to a training camp and he has a 58% completion percentage and a 1:1 TD:INT, IN THE PAC 12 the last two years. But hey, at least he works hard and isn't overweight.

I always thought he had a fairly high football IQ, he just had slow feet and was a party boy.

i love jamarcus...i dont blame him one bit for taking the raiders $60 million deal...no way he was worth it, i guess he could have been worth it but i had him ranked in the mid-late first. A sugar bowl against the irish didnt fool me, he did have a dazzling arm but i had calvin (and quinn...i blush) ranked considerably higher.

he got lazy and bought the drank by the barrell because he could afford it, he seriously went to the worst team he possibly could have gone to and be the richest young player in the league. Id like to see a legit comeback, he throws one absolutely beautiful ball but this 320 down to 308 isnt gonna cut it, he needs to be in the <270 range

No youre right, since he can throw the ball 60 yards sitting down that totally outweighs the terrible stat line, piss poor decision making, lazy persona, inability to read a defense, and his hilarious weight.

I don't have any problem at all with JaMarcus trying to make a comeback, but hearing that it could be with the Jets makes me snicker. What would be really interesting would be to see Arizona or Kansas City bring him in for the veteran minimum along with someone like Alex Smith or Matt Flynn. Might sound crazy, but I think a team is going to get the most value out of him by letting him feel like there's a genuine opportunity ahead of him. I think the situation I see him most likely to fail in is coming in just to be a "camp arm," because that just means that whatever team that brought him in likes his arm but has little faith that he'll be able to put it together, and players can tell what coaches think about them, and it can affect their performance. Maybe this becomes Andy Reid's next project.

Don't choke, Vidae. My words mean nothing.
