Yeah but the Rams drafted Pead in the 2nd round last year. 50th overall. Just because he didn't see the field much this season doesn't mean the Rams are done with him. And Richardson is physical.

The biggest problem (apart from the value aspect) I have with this Floyd pick is that the Raiders have a ton of 5-tech 3-4 DE-types. That's the one thing the Raiders don't need to worry about.

The Raiders need a stout NT, ILBs and multiple versatile pass rushers who can put their hand in the ground or get to the QB from a two-point stance. They need a RT, at least 1 OG, 2 CBs and they could use a TE and a WR.

All before a guy who is just going to take up space as a 3-4 DE.

THere's arguments to be made for Floyd over any of the top DL prospects I'd argue. Moore is a bit undersized, Jones has multiple red flags, Werner is a guy many aren't sold on.

Floyd is scheme versatile, good vs the run and pass, isn't out of shape or anything, has no character or injury red flags(that we know of) and competed in the best conference. He also played out of position much of the year, hidng his true value.

I wouldn't take him as high as 3, just pointing out that the top 10 or so DL in this draft are pretty bunched up IMO depending on what scheme you play and just general need and preference.

Werner,Jones,Moore,Star,FLoyd,Richardson,Mingo,Wil liams and maybe Ziggy.

Would have a very hard time stomaching taking Floyd over Joeckel.

Also wouldn't consider Jones a DL regardless of scheme.
