God Iowa sucks so much. We tried so many times to give them that game and they just refused to take it.

Yeah we ******* stole that one. Ugly as ****. But...we're 17-5, so we're going to have to try really hard to stay out of the tourney at this point. Of course, just getting in would still be a letdown.

We have no leadership and no one to take a game over. Marble has decided he doesn't want to try this year and played his worst game ever, and White is way too passive at this point in his career.
I have no idea what you guys were doing or what Tubby was telling them to do. We played like garbage and still should have won easily. Oh well, just another disappointing loss this season.

Yeah, I dunno about that. We're still much, much better than Iowa is. At no point did I think "Boy, Iowa should be winning this easily", but moreso, "why aren't we beating Iowa by 15?"

Yeah I was definitely overreacting when I said we weren't going to make the tourney. I'm getting less and less excited about our chances to make a run with each game that I watch though (missed the Nebraska game, no idea how well we actually played because Nebraska is godawful.)

In the last 4-5 mins we easily should have carried a 6 or 7 point lead, but no one wanted to take over for us.
Minnesota is a much better team. You guys played bad and so did we, yet we still were in position to put the game away late. That's all I meant.

Looking at our remaining schedule:
-We'll probably lose @Michigan State, @Ohio State and home against Indiana. We could sneak any of them out, but I'm certainly not counting on it.
-We should beat Illinois and Penn State at home, and @ Purdue and Nebraska
So that gets us to 21-8. The other two games Wisconsin (home) and @Iowa are in the tossup area. Win 21 games and we're probably a 8-11 seed. Win 23, and one or two in the tourney and we're probably a 5 or 6 seed.
Would really make all the difference.

Iowa has some freshman who can shoot. If they can get a little more athletic they could be a tourney team next year.

I thought Basabe was going to end up being a lot better than he is after his freshman year. What's his deal?

Ya, I've thought we are(hopefully) an NIT team this year, but next year we have no excuse not to easily make the tourney. The freshmen should get better, we add Uthoff who will contribute a lot immediately, and our only recruit Jok was a top 100 guy before his knee injury.
We have the pieces, just need someone like Marble to get his head out of his ass or Gesell to step up to be our leader.

His game is 95% mental. He hit a soph slump last year and lost confidence. He's just starting to get it back, but if he struggles he basically takes himself out of games. Should have developed into a solid starter, but now is just a real good energy guy off the bench.

Do we get to be number 1 for another twelve hours when Indiana faces the fighting racists?

If you look at the RPI difference, the TCU win is the biggest upset in the last 20 years.

I mean...when you're comparing a loss to getting drubbed by the Topeka YMCA like a hundred years ago before they even started cutting the bottoms out of the peach baskets...there's not much worse of a loss than that...

Congratulations on that. But final four teams don't lose to Fresno State and Boise State in back to back games.

Kansas lost to Oklahoma State and TCU back-to-back. Also, Boise State is a good team. They beat Creighton at their place, and they almost beat Michigan State at their place. If they were able to pull of the Michigan State upset, they would've been ranked. As it stands now, Boise State has about a 50% chance of making the NCAA Tournament.
Finally, the MWC is a better conference than the Pac-12 this year. And, they were last year as well.
