So who is the prettier 49ers fan? Aisha Tyler or Marissa Miller?

Aisha Tyler is an actress, comedian, and television persona.

Marisa Miller is a professional fashion and glamour model.

Both are huge 49ers fans and grew up in the bay area. Tyler is born and raised in San Francisco herself.

Posted this in that "other" SB thread that will soon need to be locked and the key thrown away to not even where some hobbit can find it. It's hard to switch gears to the offseason but it is a reality we all must face at some point and this IS a Draft Forum. That being said:

Draft/FA needs:
- NT that gets a push up the middle and is a space/double-team eater
- Cover Corner (or two)
- WR (Bigger, Red Zone Threat)
- 3rd OLB/Pass Rushing Specialist
- O-Line Depth (Preferably a Swing Tackle)

Draft/FA needs:

D-line depth(think we can go with McDonald-RJF(must resign him)-Smith next year but besides that i dont think the coaching staff has much faith in)
TE (Besides Davis we only have Celek. Would love Toilolo since he would really help in the endzone)
OLB (hope we will keep Haralson he is a great compliment to Brooks and Smith but even then its a thin group. Need some more rotation to keep guys fresh)
C (Goodwin is the oldest and worst part of the O-line would like to see Kilgore step in or get another one)
WR (big body receiver to complement Crabtree and Jenkins(think he will be a good deep threat going forward)

Really don't think we need a corner at the moment. Brown can hold down the right side and i really like Culliver. However i think its best to cut Rogers and go for a nickle back.

Overall i really feel we have to go for more specialists on the D. We have a good base with guys that can do a lot of things but just add some guys that can do some things really well that we can sub in and out would help those guys be better. On Offense we really see a lot of different looks and each receiver has their own role and has their own package of plays. On Defense we just use 12 guys over and over and we are very lucky with the limited amount of injuries happening there. Have to get some sort of rotation going along the D-line and OLB's so we can keep the pass rush fresh and get the other side thinking. We know Willis and Bowman are great but sometimes someone else may be better suited for that play. Same with Justin Smith he is a great player but at his age you can't expect him to play every down and be dominant.

Even though I don't feel we'll be big players in free agency, there are a couple guys I feel we should take a hard look at. Now the key here is the price tag. These are guys I feel would be relatively cheap signings, especially if we part ways with the likes of Rogers and Goodwin. The key in my opinion is finding relatively young talent, who have under-performed or maybe haven't gotten enough opportunities to showcase their talents to the fullest.

WR - Jerome Simpson

Had a nerve injury in his back that pretty much hampered him all season. But I like his jump-ball ability and his catches in traffic. He wouldn't cost much at all and would be a nice vet signing to compete with a rookie for a roster spot.

WR - Louis Murphy

Murphy has some tools to work with but has a questionable work ethic and meager production. But he is a big target with deep speed. I think a coach like Jimbaugh and good locker room could get the most out of his physical abilities.

WR - Roscoe Parrish

Takes over Ginn's role as KR/PR/deep threat WR. Has decent hands as a WR and some wiggle as a returner, which Ginn lacked.

OLB - Jamaal Westerman

Outstanding ST player who could provide some depth as a rush OLB.

OLB - Victor Butler

I think Butler has ability to push the pocket as a rotational guy. Could help on ST as well

OLB - Antwan Barnes

Barnes was oft injured and inconsistent in SD. But he has some physical tools which could be coached up by a guy like Tomsula. For the right price, I would bring him in to compete with the young guys(Cam Johnson and Fleming) and see if he could earn a roster spot.

CB - Brice McCain

Point blank, McCain is one of the best slot CBs in the game. Yet, very few ppl even know about him. If we do part with Rogers, McCain would be the first guy I would look to replace him, followed by...

CB - Leodis McKelvin

Big time PR ability. A guy who underperformed in Buffalo but has a crazy set of physical tools to work with. Donatell could really mold this kid into something special. Not physical enough to play the slot but we would still have Cox for that role. But he's definitely a guy you could look to apprentice for a year to take over for T. Brown at the LCB. Keep him on one side of the field and coach him up. Could do wonders if you keep him outside and work on improving that part of his skill-set. A faster, quicker, younger version of T. Brown with better hips.

CB- D. Rogers-Cromartie

Probably a long shot, as he'll be one of the more coveted CBs in the class, which means his asking price may be out of our range. Has all the tools of a #1 CB but displays poor technique often and is a HORRIBLE tackler, which might not make him an ideal fit in Fangio's eyes. But if you keep him on the outside and just work on his jam and his pad level in press coverage, could be a steal. He should have been what Sherman is now. I think he still has that potential. Just needs to be used properly, in the right scheme and someone to improve his technique as a tackler.

*Honorable mention*

WR-Kevin Ogletree
WR-Devery Henderson
TE-John Phillips
TE-Travis Beckum
DT-Shaun Cody
CB-D.J. Moore
CB-Mike Jenkins
SS- Chris Clemons

We should focus on smaller, mid-tier FA deals. That's where Baalke is money. Rogers, Whitner, Akers, Goodwin. All were signed in 2011 and signed for less than $4M a year at the time. Manningham signed for 3.75M a year in 2012. Then we re-signed Rogers a year later at like $7M a year which is too much.

I like some of the guys on Vafy's list. Maybe see if we can sign Amendola at like 3-4 a year (he has a injury history so he likely won't get a big deal).

I also wouldn't mind seeing if we can package Alex and a pick in a trade for Cromartie, not Revis, because i expect Revis wants to be the highest paid player in defensive history (Mario Williams territory). Cro should be cheaper and while not as good, he's a good CB in his own right.

Only other big name FA signing i want us to explore is Anquan Boldin. I'm jelly of the way he just brings down any catch. Would be a monster redzone target.

Is there a Jacoby Jones clone out there? We could sorely use an impact returner AND a big play WR. Ginn wasn't impactful at all and i think he's run his course as a 49er.

I just want one free agent and yes, he would be expensive but at 27, can be a weapon for Kaepernick for years to come. Of course, you all know who it is - WR Mike Wallace. Granted, I dont see a chance in hell of it actually happening but honestly, he's exactly the kind of offensive weapon we need. A speed playmaking deep threat. Add in Crabtree opposite him and Davis and well, even if one were to get injured, it wouldnt hurt us as much as the last two years with Manningham, Williams and Morgan going down before the playoffs.

Granted, $10m+ is a lot of money for Wallace but give him a good first year, two decent middle years and backload the last two or three years. Releasing QB Alex Smith ($8.5m for 2013, $7.5m for 2014), WR Mario Manningham ($3.85m), C Jonathan Goodwin ($3.7m), OLB Parys Haralson ($2.57m) and CB Carlos Rogers ($5.5m in 2013, $13.5m for 2014/2015 plus $1.05m in roster and workout bonuses would be saved, complete total over three years would be over $20m). Total for 2013 would be $24.47m in cap room just from these five players alone. Add in the cap room for UFA's and whatever cap room gets carried over form 2012 and we're in awesome shape to sign Wallace and not even be close to being in trouble. Plus, after 2013, if they make 2014 and 2015 decent contracts for Wallace, they can backload majority of the money when the cap increases when those new TV contracts go into effect.

I know Wallace isnt needed and could be considered more of a luxury but with finally having a franchise QB with an arm and accuracy, I dont want to see it wasted. Also, Wallace being the deep threat playmaker that he is, we wont have to worry about goal situations or red zone situations if we've already scored a TD from outside the 20.

I also know that a few of those guys are cheap but with ten draft picks already and the fact that even at four year deals, the draft picks will be cheaper for their duration of their contracts compared to those five players I listed, it makes total and complete sense. Add in the fact that Manningham and Haralson are coming off season ending injuries, can be replaced by younger and cheaper players with far better upside, its definitely possible.

I know that im only one who wants Wallace and granted, with Smith, he didnt make much sense but when you have a young franchise QB who can throw the ball 50+ yards with ease and with accuracy, Wallace would be the ultimate weapon. Defenses have trouble covering our offense now, imagine if you add a WR who actually demands double coverage and can blow past defenders like they're not even there.

Boldin would be good but I dont want an old veteran. I want young core who'll be with Kaepernick for years to come as opposed to a one or two year stopgap. After more than a decade, we finally have a franchise QB who can GUN the damn ball down the field. We have to take advantage of that while we have the chance to do so.

Wallace replaces Manningham/Moss as the second receiver. A draft pick who's a big red zone target could be brought in as the third, fourth or fifth receiver. Kyle Williams returns at under $700,000 as a WR and returner. Ginn depends on how much but I would probably go after Cribbs if possible who I think could add a little more to the offense and is a good returner but that depends on his cost and how he wants to fit in the offense.

Rogers, Haralson and Goodwin can all be replaced in the Draft. Dont know who yet but once I watch the NFL Combine, im sure that there will be at least a few cheaper younger guys. Also want a young center to match up with Kaepernick. Basically, I want the entire offense built around Kaepernick as it should be. Keep Gore and look for his replacement in next year's draft. Other than him, we're good for years.

I've finally cooled down, and ready to talk off season.

I think the main needs are DL, DB, WR, and K.

For some reason the last couple of seasons Baalke hasn't addressed the DL except for some UDFA guys. Depth would help, that way they can finally get a rotation going. They play way too many snaps per game.

I think that Rogers has looked bad this year, and they need to look to find a new nickelback. Also depending on the Goldson situation, they may need a FS. I don't think Spillman is the answer, and I think Goldson is definitely gone. Even after Harbaugh's presser today.

I think that Moss and Ginn are both going to be gone next year, unless Ginn stays on a the PR, but I doubt it. We need a big-bodied physical receiver. Jenkins is a quick averaged sized guy who should develop, but we need a big possession guy.

For a kicker, do you think we go FA or actually draft a guy? When was the last kicker we drafted???

Random scheduling quirks

-The NFC rep for the SB in the last 4 or 5 years has faced the AFCE and beaten the Bills. We beat Buffalo this year, 45-3. The NFC South faces the Bills next year- perhaps Atlanta or New Orleans make the SB from the NFCS?

-The last 4 years have seen the opponent that faces the Eagles in their home opener to go on and win the SB. Saints, Packers, Giants, and now Ravens.

-The Redskins have played the SB winner in 7 straight seasons. Thats right, not a SB rep, but the actual winner of the lombardi trophy. They've beaten them 3 straight times. And guess what? The Redskins are on our 2013 schedule...

I just hope San Francisco makes the playoffs. The course of an entire season is so unpredictable. They should make the playoffs of course, but there are so many variables that go into making a team's quest for a championship work. If Kaepernick stays healthy and the defense stays good (they've taken a step back) we should be in the thick of things. Even with the Seahawks gaining leverage within the division.

It depends though. If Seattle wins the division and gets homefield throughout, its a wrap for the rest of the NFC. Nobody is beating them up there. If we have to face them, at home in a one and done situation, I'm not sure if we win. Are we capable? Absolutely. But would I feel good about that scenario playing out in our favor? Not particularly. We have things to shore up before I feel confident heading into a game at The Link.

And don't forget we got that London game versus the Jags. I don't understand why they would make any west coast team take such a long ass flight home afterwards. We better have our bye right afterwards or I'm going to be pissed.

Every team that's played in London has had a bye afterwards, its not even a question, we're definitely getting a bye....

I'm guessing we'll get a east coast game, then fly to London right after. Just like we did in 2010, facing the Panthers before that game.

Possible road games we could play before London- playing St. Louis, Tennessee, Washington, Tampa Bay, New Orleans. Washington makes the most sense i guess in terms of least distance.
