Who is Going to Run 4.2 @ Combine?
Seems like there's always a few guys each year who at least run an unofficial 4.2 on someone's clock, even if it doesn't end up recorded as their official time. I don't have a list of names to throw out, but part of me thinks Cordarrelle Patterson could break the 4.3 barrier. I can't really guess for defensive backs. Denard Robinson? I think of Tavon Austin when I think of really fast players, but he might fall into the "more quick than fast" category. He's definitely one of the fastest short-area players in the draft, but I really don't know if I should expect him to run 4.45 or 4.30.

Shamarko Thomas is FAST, he could be in this range. Goodwin is also a good name.

Are we talking legit 4.2 electronic time? Or "some scout hand-timed him at 4.2!!!"
Since 2000 when electronic timing was used eight players have run a sub 4.3 time.
Chris Johnson 2008 RB 4.24
Jerome Mathis 2005 WR 4.28
Jacoby Ford 2010 WR 4.28
DeMarcus Van Dyke 2011 CB 4.28
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie 2008 CB 4.29
Stanford Routt 2005 CB 4.29
Trindon Holliday 2010 WR 4.29
Fabian Washington 2005 CB 4.29
That being said if anyone is going to break into the club I think it'll be Goodwin. I mean he has already been confirmed at 4.34 and unconfirmed at 4.24 which if he did run would tie CJ2K.

i see tavon at high 4.3/low 4.4
i'd love to see his 10 yard split and 3 cone times though; those should be incredibly fast

It pains me to see so many Raiders on that list. And players who didn't pan out.

I think Denard Robinson is a 4.4 guy. I think his short shuttle and 3-cone numbers are going to really be something, though.

Denard has great straight line speed. I'm sure he'll break that 4.4 barrier.

Onterio McCalebb, Shamarko Thomas, Marquis Goodwin, Denard Robinson all have a shot at it.

Man, how did Taylor Mays suck so bad??
He ran a sub 4.3 at a height of 6'3, 235#. Damn.
Still might be the biggest freak athlete in the NFL, but can't really play safety.
