Lol LSU & Clemson? If anything Alabama will be the consensus #1 then either Ohio State or A&M.

I've heard good things about him. I'm really happy with Scarbrough so he's all yours even though a lot of Alabama fans think Saban will land him too. Backfield is plenty full.

Schedule is even easier than last years. I can't wait till they get to some of their bigger out if conference games again.

Now that is one bold statement. I don't even wanna compare anybody to AD but if is anywhere near that good then Les has a winner potentially on his hands.

I'll vouch for you, he could end up being the no.1 recruit in the nation (a rare feat for a half back...he's just that good).

1) Alabama: They should be better than last year's championship team, depends on if the OL can be as good this year, mainly Cyrus Kouandijo.
2) Ohio State: Easy schedule, Meyer's system now has 2 years' worth of his guys, and a very good QB in Braxton Miller who can work with Meyer's spread. Probably the best non-SEC shot to win the Championship.
3) South Carolina: Besides Jadeveon Clowney, They still have Connor Shaw who should get better and a good WR with Bruce Ellington, and I'm really high on Mike Davis. They just have to hope for some fast impact with those top DBs and LBs they picked up these past 2 years.
4) Texas A&M: Outside of Joeckel and Moore, they didn't lose much, at least nothing that this kind of recruiting class can't adequately fill. And they still have Johnny Football. Manziel will have to adapt and grow, since the opposing
SEC defenses will be much more prepared for him.
5) Oregon: New Coach and no more Barner, but Thomas is still there, and so is Mariota, as well as most of their other starting players. If Helfrich doesn't royally stink as a head coach, this team still has a window to win.
Others that could crack the top 5:
-Louisville (pretty easy schedule and probably the best QB in college)
-UCLA (They look like the most talented team in the Pac-12 on paper, but is Hundley and whoever is running [J. James?] good enough to lead them past the other elites of a tough conference?
-LSU (If Cam Cameron can make Mettenberger consistently competent, they're title contenders and he's a wizard)
-Florida (Everything is there for them to be a title contender, I wonder if Driskel's good enough as a passer to lead them there though)
-Georgia (2 headed rushing monster, top 2-3 QB in the SEC, but they lost a lot of talent this year)
-Clemson (Someone has to lead the ACC, and I like Tajh Boyd and Clemson a lot more than Virginia Tech and Jameis Winston and FSU)
-Possibly USC, if Max ______ turns out to be a good passer and the defense improves, they have the weapons to be a great team.
The Big XII is gonna be a mess.

not even considered for a top 5 spot when we went undefeated last year in the regular season and return 14 starters (6 on offense, 8 on defense). We should easily be a better team than last season and we have an easier schedule

Missed the cut (so chance of cracking the top 10-6):
-Anyone from the Big XII (Did I mention I have no faith in the Big XII this year? Oklahoma, but can Blake Bell throw it? Texas, but they've been underachieving for years now. Okie State, but they weren't exactly dominant, and they lost Randle, though I really like Walsh. TCU? are they talented enough? KSU post Klein?
-Notre Dame: This past season was an overachieving year for them [and TXAM too, to some extent], but they lost a lot of talent on an already pedestrian offense, Golson looks more like Mettenberger north than Bridgewater, I don't really know any pass-catchers on that team outside of DaVaris Daniels, and while that defense should suffocate opponents (Jaylon Smith will be better than Te'o by the time he leaves), unless Greg Bryant and/or George Atkinson go off (love them both), this offense might be much worse than last year's 80th ranked scoring team.
-Florida State: They lost a lot on defense, and their QB. This seems more like a hiccup year for them than a real downward slope.
-Michigan: that Michigan-ND game is gonna be another big one. they have a rough schedule though, but they're home for the hardest of them. At least they have some stability with Gardner at QB and Lewan staying. They're probably my favorite team from this list.
-Stanford: No Stepfan Taylor, and I'm not all that confident in Hogan/Nunes. Hogan has potential though, but he will have to progress a notch or two if Stanford wants to compete in a very good Pac-12.

Yeah, yer boys got snubbed. Got a lot of talent returning and some stud freshman that should make an instant impact (Redfield, Smith, EV). Golson with more time to mature in kelly's system, Tuitt is a beast, the corners will be more experienced, Nix in the middle, Ishaq should break out eventually, Niklas with more experience, etc...
There's a lot to like with ND for next season.
Oh, and I suspect Carlisle will be better than reddick and Ciera combined.

Well we flat out dont lose much on offense. We lose five starters on offense but the only one that hurts is Eifert. Our runningback situation (with carlisle most likely starting) will be more or less as good as it was last year with an upside to be better. We bring back our best 3 offensive linemen and our 2 best wide receivers (Davaris Daniels and TJ Jones) and most important, our starting QB has one more year under his belt which is hugely important. Our offense is at worst going to be slightly better this year but most likely a ton better.
Our defense will probably not be better although possibly similar but the loss of leadership could hurt the D even when the talent level has improved.

next years class is so much better for runningbacks than this year. no matter who you had as your top rb next year has a ton of running backs who are better if you ask me. I legitimately think there were no deserving 5 star running backs in the 2013 class.

florida will be a top 5 team only if there is drastic improvement in the passing game. and i didn't see a whole lot of progression from driskel over the season

Hey, he earned that 1-15 record in Miami!
Seriously, if he puts any sort of spark in LSU's offense, that would be a dramatic improvement.

his offense just won the Superbowl?
he gets Drew Brees endorsement
Quote:

You mentioned in your book that Cam Cameron was one of the few guys in the organization that believed in you all along. What did he mean to your career? “He was huge. Cam was huge in my career. I was with him for four years. He was the offensive coordinator while I was in San Diego for those last four years. That was a time in my career where during that stretch I got benched three or four times, they ended up drafting Philip Rivers. Cam was pretty much the one who broke the news to me. My postseason exit meeting with him after the ’03 season I went in his office, shut the door and (he said) I’m just telling you they’re either going to go out and get a free agent veteran quarterback to come in here or they’re going to draft a rookie high to compete with you. Just get ready for that. I feel like he was always very honest with me. He always did things to try to get the best out of me. There was a time or two where we would butt heads, but I think that was all part of the process of him trying to mold me into the type of quarterback he knew I could be, the type of person he knew I could be, leader and I appreciate him for that. I love the man. I think he’s a great coach and obviously I had a lot of great years with him.”

Total Offense / Scoring Offense
San Diego (2002-2006)
2002- 16 / 20
2003- 14 / 16
2004- 10 / 3
2005- 10 / 5
2006- 4 / #1 (30.8 PPG, next closest was Chicago and Indy 26.7)
Dolphins - Head Coach (2007)
2007- 28 / 26
Trent Green was injured forcing Cleo Lemon and John Beck to play QB
Baltimore Ravens (2008-2012)
2008- 19 / 18
2009- 13 / 9
2010- 22 / 16
2011- 15 / 12
2012- 16 / 10
averaged 25.5ppg before getting let go after week 14. They finished with 24.9 for the season.

Even if it was his offense he is still inept as a play caller which would sorta be his primary responsibility at LSU.
