Out of curiousity, if he did walk in free agency without a trade, and got a big contract, what is the highest compensation they could get in return? 3rd?

Pick 97, assuming no one uses a pick in the supplemental draft or has one stripped for a violation. If they do, it would be higher.

Poor Percy. All he wants is a legitimate quarterback throwing him the ball.

Is Percy Harvin a $100 million dollar player? Apparently that's what he's looking for. I'll be very interested to see what he ends up getting.

Jay Glazer is reporting the trade is already done. Harvin to the Seahawks for draft picks, pending a physical. Compensation not fully known yet.

I hate him at the price he wants to get paid, but this is going to help the Seahawks a lot. They were a borderline top tier team last season. They're definitely right up there in consideration for #1 now.
Pete Carroll saw that the window was open and decided to jump right through it.
Look for Breno Giacomini to be on the chopping block to help pay for this. He sucks and a cut saves them 3.5 mil. Probably Ben Obomanu, too.

no way is a good WR worth 100mill. If he somehow rangles that, even if its a backloaded contract with money he'll never see, how much could CJ get?
and make no mistake about it, hes just good, hes not a dominant force ala CJ or AJ or Julio or Randy in his prime.

Seahawks should lock him up now. As soon as he starts playing, his numbers are going to be ridiculous in their offense, driving up his price.

If Sidney Rice can not fall apart their offense is going to have a major bump in effectiveness. Great move by them and I don't even know the cost. Wilson and Harvin both help eachother out, and Harvin needs a laid back coach like Carroll who will let some of his antics slide.

If Minnesota can get a 1st round pick for Harvin, the Jets BETTER get a 1st round pick back for Revis.
Harvin has been hurt more(Even though no torn ACL) and is pretty brittle, has been just as disgruntled, has not been anywhere near as good of a talent on the field and is also looking to cash in, even if its not as big of a deal as what Revis wants.
Hopefully the Hawks making this deal makes SF want to get a CB like Revis here.

Well I guess it includes at least the first rounder. If we could get another pick that would be fantastic. I love this trade. I'm definitely gonna miss Percy, but dude is a malcontent. Having three picks in the first two rounds is going to definitely help address our holes in the defense as well as at wide out. Let's see if we can sign a big name receiver in the offseason to go with an Allen/Hopkins type in the first.

I wonder if this will change the Vikings thinking in maybe going after Cruz.

Great move by Seattle. At least they go out and get playmakers for their Quarterback. Stupid Rams.

Well, so far it seems their 1st rounder(25th overall) is part of it, so that one
