Rinne not starting causes so much sadness. Luckily, Colorado still has plenty of time to blow this one.
Normally we make backups look like allstars, and we tried to tank it at the end, Sacco even let the epically terrible Hunwick-O'Byrne pairing finish the game.

I've been very impressed with Jake Allen over the past two games. He and Halak should make for a good 1-2 combo when Elliott leaves St. Louis. Most impressive thing about Allen is how calm he seems to be out there.

Who do you expect to get more starts? I just picked up Halak up off waivers now that he's back.

If Halak is healthy, he's the guy.
I don't know what they'll do with Jake Allen though. Probably will send him down but I know Hitchcock loves him. Maybe Blues go with three goalies, just until Elliott gets his head out of his ass.
I love Ryan O'Reilly's dad, that man can put nonsense together like few others. I can't wait until the Avs trade his son to Colorado-East for Kulikov in the offseason. Feed the tank this year than come back with an actual defense next year:
Kuli-EJ
Hejda-Barrie
SOB/Siemens-Elliott
and maybe we won't be giving up over 90 shots in two games.

That video doesn't show him knocking a pred on his ass right before the play.
This one shows Matt Duchene knocking Weber off the puck before feeding McPing. I love watching Matty play this year, him and Varly are trying to single handedly ruin our tank.

Whatever highlight of the Datsyuk goal I saw had one terrible play-by-play guy on it. I hope that's not what Detroit fans have to put up with all the time.
I loved that dude on the Avs. Wish we could replace Kobascrew with him and have the most trollingest and goonyest 4th line in the NHL with Bordy/Highlander on one side, Other Cody in the middle and Olver on the other wing.

That Duchene goal the other day was pretty ridiculous.
Oh I laughed and laughed. Guess the refs figured that since they never really screw up in the avs favor, the one time that they did it needs to be epic. Loved the interview after the game where he's like "well I was pretty sure I was offsides so I touched the puck for the refs to blow the whistle but he didn't." He's really been amazing for this POS team this year, just the things he says and the way he's playing make it hard not to love him. Seeing him muscle Weber off the puck to set up ginner's goal was awesome. Kid's been great in all 3 zones and is tied for second in the league for ES points, just one behind Vanek.

It's Ken Daniels. He's been doing Wings games for 15 years and I've never found anything to complain about.

He's had a lot of good moments here. An unnecessary victim of our awful play. He's not as effective all around as he was two years ago, but I don't really see the reason for John Scott to play in twice as many games as him. Yes, Scott demolishing Thornton was awesome, but he only has one more fight than McCormick in twice as many games and Cody provides better forecheck grind in addition to some good scraps. Him taking on Lucic before that was a huge thing in Buffalo was always great to see, as was him demolishing two guys in our crease with one hit in what was essentially a playoff-clinching game. When everybody was saying the Sabres needed to get tougher and do these things, McCormick was the guy that was doing them, if the only one. I hate to see him go.
Worst yet, he was on the ice for practice when the news broke. It was out there before he or his family knew. Sweet move, guys.

I'm sorry you have to deal with John Scott. He is the most worthless hockey player. But the man can fight.
