“During the season, I had gotten down to about 285 pounds running the spread, no-huddle offense,” he said.
But he weighed in at 312 pounds Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine, on a 6-foot-2˝-inch frame.
“I do feel the difference,” he said. “I feel like I’ve got just a little more ‘butt’ behind me”
(The better to anchor.)
“And I’m ready to be more of a physical player,” he said.
Cooper added the weight with what might be called the sportswriter’s diet.
“Just trying to eat as much as I possibly could,” Cooper said. “It really turned into just eat, eat, eat. . . . Maybe not the healthiest things, but just get the weight on, because I knew I’d work hard enough to kind of do what I needed to do.”

I think if they could address the pass rush in FA then a trade up would make perfect sense.

How did Brian Winters only do 9 reps? Did he get injured?

Why didn't Warmack bench?? Surprised that Fluker only put up 21 reps in the BP. I know the guy has incredible functional strength and his arms are longer than many people's legs, but 21 reps?? Not that impressive.
Look like a beast. Workout like a beast.
Is anyone else stunned that Fluker was the ONLY Oline prospect from Alabama who decided to bench today?? WTF??
These guys are NCs and part of one of the best Olines in college football history.
Who needs 'ideal conditions' to bench???lol
Cordarrelle Pattern is only 6'2, so my comparison for him now is Dez Bryant.
If he has that level of talent, he's going to be a steal outside the top 10.

Jefferson is at the hospital getting examined. Suspected torn pec during the bench press.
Winters is hurt, too. No info on what, but also happened during bench press.

Alabama OG Chance Warmack performed 35 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press at the Combine.
He weighed in at 6-foot-2, 317 earlier in the week, and the impressiveness of Warmack's lofty bench-press total is enhanced by his vine-like, 34 3/4-inch arms. Warmack is attempting to stave off North Carolina's Jonathan Cooper as the 2013 draft's top-rated guard. Cooper did 35 reps, too, but has shorter arms.

Fluker's bench was interesting. Rogers Gaines has similar length arms and put up 28 reps. But ultimately I wouldn't put too much into it.

Joeckel and Fisher are almost 1 and 1a there in just about every category.
Same with Ertz and Eifert.

"They want to make sure I'm versatile," Warford said. "(Teams) have asked if I have taken snaps before. I was actualy our second string center this year, so I've played a lot of center."

Fluker at 21 does not bother me he clearly works out and there are a couple of other factors,
1. 37" arms are something we have not see really and we normally give guys with 34" arms a break.
2. He lost 20lbs recently and that is going to take away some of your weight room power.
Also Anthony Davis [21] and Phil Loadholt [24] did not blow the bench press away and they are a couple of the more powerful OTs in the league.

Dion Sims
6'4", 262 lbs. 33 1/8" arms. 10 1/2" hands. 22 bench reps.
That's some solid measurables. Going to be a really nice 4th round pick for someone.

How often do these post season fast risers pan out? Not necessarily the physical freaks but the guys that you didnt hear a ton about during the season but get a lot of hype once the season has ended like a Shariff Floyd? I remember tyson alualu rose pretty quickly and has had a meh career so far. I think michael brockers became a big name after the season last year

Vance McDonald has had a great combine so far - measured in a 6'4 267 big wingspan at 34.78 and threw up 31 reps. After his good senior bowl his stock should really be on the rise.
Geno Smith's weigh in was fairly unimpressive - 6'2 218 - pretty avg - should be interesting to see how fast his 40 is. I think if he run's in the 4.7s.

He's a natural long strider. Assuming he's gotten good speed coaching...don't be shocked by a sub-4.6

Agree. I like Floyd too but Richardson is the reason I'm not as adamant about putting Akeem Spence as the #1 DT even if he blows the combine out of the water. Richardson is special and a freak athlete to boot.

Vernon Davis - Working
Chris Houston - NFL DB but wasnt worth the 1st rnd pick/rise
DHB - Looked Good last year, awful this past season.
Just off the top of my head.

Michael Brockers only became a big name after the season because no one ever expects a redshirt sophomore to declare.
