Patterson is a supersized Percy Harvin. Like LonghornsLegend is saying - he's going to be putting points on the board immediately, even if it's not by running a beautiful route past Darrelle Revis. What do people have against lining up a player in the slot? He'll be devastating catching short passes and running with it, because he's big, fast, instinctive and physical, and can change directions in one step without losing speed.
Those attributes don't prevent him from playing outside, but they mean that he'll be a contributor immediately, even if it's in the slot, running fly sweeps, returning kicks or even just lining up in the backfield. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see teams try that. He's an all-around weapon already and has tons of room to improve. He was thrown directly into the best conference (by a significant margin) in the CFB world, and from the first game he's been getting away from defenses for big gains. He's got plenty of work to do to reach his potential, but anyone who looks at the tape can see that the potential is astronomical.

Let's just go ahead and nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand. The three players you listed, plus the other two Vols at the combine all play offense. They were a part of the second best offense in UT history.
Tennessee's lack of team success this season was 100% on an incompetent head coach, a ****** of a defensive coordinator, and a thin on numbers and talent defense trying to switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4.

Hes percy harvin in Josh Gordans body...ive watched a lot of him the last week especially and thats the only way i can really describe him physically. Unreal cuts and shiftiness for a guy that big....kind of after the catch ability that guys like DHB just didnt even come close to having. Hes a definite top 10 pick to me, id love the steelers to find a way to get him
I do like hunter an awful lot too

Well, there were some games where they just really didn't produce at all on offense. But I will go ahead and blame most of that on Bray.
I'm excited to see where Patterson goes. He will be one of the most interesting prospects to follow.

There were only two games in which the offense didn't produce... Alabama and Vandy. Also, the team had obviously quit on Dooley during the Vandy game.

Did someone just say something mean about Brayly Legal?
Cause my Bray senses are tingling.
Either that, or it's testicular torsion...really, really hoping someone's just being an unbrayliever.
