This isn't the 60's and 70's with Bear roaming the sidelines and reporters looked the other way. They did **** that was going to get them kicked out no matter how important they are/were at the time. Keeping them on the team would've opened up the university itself to lawsuits by the parents of the kid they robbed and it'd be a gigantic media shitstorm which NOBODY wants.
