Dunta Robinson, John Abraham, and Michael Turner released. Wow. Big changes ahead. We're now desperate for a quality defensive end.

With that news it seems we have to adress at least one of these needs via Free Agency. Makes CB a huge need and DE even bigger if that was even possible. We already knew Turner was gone. We're lucky the draft is deep this year.

You guys think we're bringing back Brent Grimes? I've also heard we're pursuing Revis but that seems lik a pipe dream.

Wow there are going to be some major changes to the team. Falcons are about to get a whole lot younger.

Where would that put Spoon? Not sure Babs is a 3-4 type, can maybe play 5-tech? Bierman could possibly be an OLB is the scenario. Would leave open a lot of questions.
Also, with these recent vet cuts do you think that hurts the chances Tony comes back?

Spoon could play ilb. Plenty of ilb his size. Timmons for example.

How do you figure that? IMO we don't have the front 7 for a 3-4 right now.

Damn these QBs are getting paid big, with Tom Brady and now Ravens making Joe Flacco the highest paid player in the league. Packers will surpass that with Rodgers. These guys will set the mark for Matt Ryan, but he's the only one of the 4 without a superbowl. Should be interesting to see how much we give him.

Spoon is perfect for a WILB. same size as Patrick Willis as both are 240.
Babineaux can play the 5-tech. he played 6-tech all year wiht no issues.
Biermann is a OLB. Dent is a ILB. Nicholas can play either OLB or ILB.
the only spot Atlanta would really need is NT.

Sure if you think Dent and Bierman are quality starters. IMO Dent is at best a special teamer. Bierman would simply fill a void but I think were a long way from a solid 3-4 lineup.

Dent did very well in 2012 as the season wore on. His best role is as the thumper in the middle. The run defense was a full 1.5 yards per carry better when he was on the field in 2012. Biermann can start in a 3-4 and be as good as Jarrett Johnson was. Not a 10 sack guy, but a 4-5 sack guy who sets the edge.

All this is wishful thinking on your part. As Bama said, we have nothing.

Seems like CB is a strong possibility for the Falcons in the first round. The Falcons could use a young corner and there are a number of talented ones that seem to be getting talked about as late first round prospects. Especially if the Falcons bring in someone like Freeney in free agency.

Really wish we had some answers about Tony G and the current situation with the defense. There also were some rumors Abe may be coming back but not so sure how true that is. I think even if we went to the 3-4 he could easily be an OLB is that scheme

So now I'm really hoping Dumervil is released and Nolan pushes to bring him aboard. Then bring back Abraham, I expect that happens anyways. Draft a rookie in round one or two at end.
Would be a much better pass rush rotation than we currently have.

While Revis is amazing I dont want to give up our entire draft for him. He is going to cost a pretty penny and we have so many holes to fill.

TD said we need the money to sign our own guys. I doubt he pursues a trade.

Ideal scenario. Sign Dumervil or Kruger. Bring Abe back for a lesser contract. Draft Trufant or Rhodes in the first. Possibly Okafor in the 2nd. Gillislee in the 3rd and then build depth
