6 for the D'Backs, I feel Stryker Trahan should be on there as well but can't really complain

Favorite fact of the day: Bobby Bonilla is the highest paid outfielder for the Mets this year.

Granderson fractured his forearm today and is out 10 weeks. Ouch.

I really don't see them making it with their roster as it stands right now. They are the Yankees and tend to get there regardless...but as of right now, I'm not sold.

I would hope not. His ankle couldn't handle that much lateral movement.

The Victorino contract is awful. Pretty sure Napoli isn't getting the original contract he signed (thank ******* baby Jesus). The team just wastes money like it's nobody's business. Which is crazy.
It's one of those teams that can sign guys way under their actual value and for shorter contracts because they're the Red Sox. Yet they have this awful habit of overpaying **** players.
They just use their financial situation the complete wrong way when they should be using it as leverage in trades like when they took on Mike Lowell's contract to get Josh Beckett. Instead, they use it to give 4th OF's like Shane Victorino $13m/y.

No. From everything I'm hearing, the plan is to move Zimmerman to first and bring up Rendon after LaRoche's contract is up in two years.

Trevor Bauer had a nice little outing today. Still don't think he gets in the rotation until the all star break though.

Hey Brodeur, what is your opinion on the Tiger's closer situation?

I would to an extent but I don't got MLB Network and I wouldn't get up at 3:30 in the morning. I love baseball, but not to get up at 3:30 to watch players I've barely heard of.

Don't ******* touch Jose Valverde, that's my solution. I'd give Coke a shot, but I honestly don't care about a closer. It's a role.

Chris Sale received a 5 year $32.5 million contract. I'd be worried about his arm falling off way before that.

EARLY MLB Predictions:
AL East:
1) Tampa Bay
2) Toronto
3) Baltimore
4) Boston
5) New York
-I still think Tampa Bay is the class of the division despite Toronto's huge offseason. I believe Baltimore will take a little step back from last year, but will be fun to watch if both Bundy and Machado are with the big club all year. I think the Yankees are too old and hurt to even contend this year. Could be a long year, IMO.
AL Central:
1) Detroit
2) Cleveland
3) Chicago
4) Kansas City
5) Minnesota
-Detroit is still the best team in the division and might be in the whole league. They just need to get a closer. I'm total opposites on Cleveland and Chicago. Love Cleveland's offense, but they lack pitching. I love Chicago's pitching, but not a fan of their offense. This could be a nice battle for that second Wild Card spot. Kansas City made a bold move in trading away Wil Myers, but they are still a few years away from contention in this division. I like some pieces Minnesota has got(Aaron Hicks,Meyer,May), but they are not there yet. I expect they will contend for another high draft pick.
AL West:
1) LA Angels
2) Texas
3) Seattle
4) Oakland
5) Houston
-How can you not pick the Angels after winning the offseason two years in a row? The only question I have of them is their 4 and 5 starters. Is Hanson healthy and can Vargas pitch well away from SAFECO? Despite Texas striking out on every major free agent, I still like them as a "darkhorse" for the AL. Profar and to an extent Olt are going to be really good this year. Feliz and Soria are going to form a nasty 8th and 9th if they are healthy(and if Feliz is still in the pen). I went back and forth with Oakland/Seattle. I think both teams are up and coming. I just like Seattle's young pitching more and I believe Morse and Morales will help that offense out a lot. Houston sucks and will suck for a few more years. They are on their way, though.
Playoffs:
1) LA
2) Detroit
3) Tampa
WC: Toronto/Texas
NL East:
1) Washington
2) Atlanta
3) Philadelphia
4) New York Mets
5) Miami
-Washington is stacked. A great 1-2 punch of Strasburg and Gio, a nice end of the game bullpen, a good CFer(finally), and a good bench. I can see Harper contending to be 30/30 this year. I really like Atlanta's outfield collection of arms. I really like their late inning bullpen. Philadelphia contends with Washington as pitching goes, but I don't like their offense. Howard, Utley, Rollins, and Young are all old and don't think they are productive as they have been in the past. The Mets pitching depth is going to be good, but their offense isn't going to be good. I do like this team in a few years, though. Miami traded everyone away after spending huge the offseason before. They will contend for one of the worst teams this year.
NL Central:
1) Reds
2) Cardinals
3) Pirates
4) Brewers
5) Cubs
-I have my questions about the Reds this year regarding their bullpen(not a believer of Brox) and Chapman being a starter, but they filled their biggest need and got Shin Soo Choo. No matter what happens, the Cardinals are always in it in the end. I think their young players(Miller, Rosenthal, Martinez, Tavares) come up huge for them this summer. This is the year the Pirates FINALLY break the streak. I think Pedro builds off last year, Marte becomes a solid player, Martin plays well, and the pitching stays consistent. Cole should be up in the stretch run and hopefully brings a spark via the rotation or bullpen. Only downside I see is that I believe Andrew McCutchen will not put up similar numbers this season as last. The Brewers still have Braun and Gallardo, but other parts of their team is hurt. Not a fan of Axford and think they need keep investing in more bullpen arms. I like what the Cubs did regarding pitching this offseason, but I just don't think it'll be good enough to not finish in the basement this year. I do like Castro, Jackson and Rizzo, though.
NL West:
1) San Francisco
2) LA Dodgers
3) Arizona
4) San Diego
5) Colorado
-The Giants have the MVP and a really good pitching staff. That's what won them the title last year and I believe that will win them the division this year. Yeah the Dodgers have spent a lot of money, but I think chemistry is going to be a huge issue. We will see. I'd rank them third if Arizona had a better offense. Their pitching will carry them again this year. Ross and Knubel in the outfield together will be an adventure to see. Really like the young talent that San Diego has and will have this year. I just don't see them being any better than fourth. Colorado's pitching is going to be so bad once again which sucks because I like a lot of their players.
NL playoffs:
1) Washington
2) San Francisco
3) Cincinnati
WC) Dodgers/Atlanta

The Brewers offense will keep them ahead of Pittsburgh and the pen is much improved over last year's bunch.

For $6 million a year, his arm could fall off in 2015 and the contract would have been a bargain.
