They always get at least one upset at the Garden, but that already came this year. Whatever, it's a good excuse to day drink. They're sunk without D'Angelo though.

It's almost like the lolphers are actively trying to not make the tournament and get Tubby fired.

They'll still make the tourney, but I remember when I said they were going to battle for the last BIG spot and I didn't trust Tubby coaching them up and I got blasted for it because they were a "top 20" team...

And I don't know what Cuse did to deserve that punishment G'town put on them today.

The Gophers will be the 9 seed in the Big Ten tourney and have lost 10 of their last 15 games...I wouldn't say they're a tourney team quite yet, especially if they fall in round one of the conference tournament

I hope that happens because not only will I laugh for a long time, but it also helps Iowa's almost non-existent chances.

Iowa isn't a tourney team, so if they made it over Minny I would laugh my ass off at how awful Tubby is.

I wouldn't put a ton of blame in Tubby's direction, I'd place the blame on the players. The Gophers have been such an unmotivated bunch, and there's only so much coaching can do when the talent doesn't want to show up.

Coaching and Motivation goes hand in hand IMO.

I think part of the reason the talent doesn't want to show up, however, is that none of them give a **** about Tubby. Think about how many good players transferred in the last few years on top of the lack of motivation.

I think motivation is always on the coaches. Yes, the first part is to put them in position to succeed. That is for sure. Gameplans, teaching fundamentals, all that etc. After all that, there is no doubt in my mind that it is the job of the coaches/coach to get your players motivated for every single game, assignment, whatever. Great coaches are able to make their plays rise at the most important moments. Yes, some players have that already built in but a lot of players can "get it" with some prodding from their coach. Coaches can make a Kentucky 5 star player get up for playing Georgia with the same intensity as the day that kid is playing their biggest rival in Louisville. Great coaches know what buttons to push and being able to motivate your players in every single game is what make some coaches greats. (Izzo, Coach K, Ryan in Wisconsin, Pitino) There are reason why you to yourself every year, man Wisconsin or Mich St or Louisville just seem to be in contention every year or have a shot at making a run in the tourney. Coaches like Boheim are good but not great because I don't think he is a great motivator and thats why his teams performance are so inconsistent.

Yes, good coaches are able to know when to push the buttons for those games where they might be playing a lesser team or they need that motivation before one game, but with Minnesota it's a situation where the players have showed up twice in the last two months and it's been apparent watching their games that they really could care less if they get their asses handed to them and don't seem to want to get better.

UCLA Pac 12 champs!!! Yeah the Pac 12 isn't good, but who cares. To be honest, the Pac 12 will get 4, possibly 5 teams in the tournament so it isn't THAT bad.

You're Exhibit A as to why he has a job. He elicits a response from viewers. People either love him or hate him. Middle-of-the-road doesn't work in broadcasting.

It's a joke that K-State gets to have a share of the conference when they got wrecked both times they played Kansas.

I'm not anti-K-State, I just think it's ******** that you can be a co-champion with a team that beat you twice.
